This 1986 Jeep Cherokee was part of a Forestry Service fleet. It was my wife's daily driver for 3 years. She brought it home hot every day for 2 weeks before we found the radiator wasn't flowing. We replced the radiator but the vehicle soon became hard to start. Jeep-Chrysler mechanic said the rings got too hot and lost compression. Head is fine with no leak. Vehicle has sat in my yard now for several years and never ran again. Body is in decent shape, showing rust on the lower doors now. Transmission and 4WD were working when it stopped and never gave us any problems. Fuel-injected 2.5 litre engine was great on gas. General tires still look good. I have the ignition key but I do not have the door key. Again, this is a tow-away vehicle, it does not run. Would make a good rebuild project or basis for a rock crawler. No reserve, I need it out of the yard.
