The original, stock SU manifold, carbs and air cleaner will be refitted to the engine prior the end of the auction. 67 Datsun 2000 Roadster. This is the real deal #'s matching California car. The engine was recently over hauled with new bearings, piston rings, timing chain and head work. The frame and engine were profesionaly steam cleaned six months ago. It currently has a later set of Solex PHH44 carbs (NOT INCLUDED) and an aftermarket, jet coated headder. The exhaust is new 1-3/4" custom bent galvanized pipe with a Flomax muffler and it sounds awesome. The car runs great and is a blast to drive. The heater core sprung a leak so it is currently bypassed. The 5-speed trans shifts perfectly. The gauges are correct and all function. The acual mileage is unknown. The body is a bit rough but it's all there and rust free. It has new tires on powder coated stock rims. The suspension is tight as is the stering box. I do not have a spare for it at this time but several 80's japanese cars have the same bolt patttern so you can go with a compact spare. I have the top frame but it needs recovering. It's a great "driver" with a nice patina about it. Add a dash pad and interior kit and drive it like it is or do a restoration. Either way this is a solid foundation. I also have a 67.5 1600 for sale that could be used as a body swap. The 1600 body is the same as the 2000 and is clean and straight. Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping (if necessary).
