Vehicle Detail
CUSTOM BUILT1936 LAFAYETTE 2 DOOR SLANT BACK SEDAN A diamond in the ruff; this rare find is near and dear to our hearts as our father suddenly passed away as he was repairing the everday wear and tear which occurs when a vehicle is driven the way our family enjoys HOT-RODDING. As you can see from the pictures the car is painted Dupont chroma 1 (poppy red) with custom Corvette Yellow flames into an orange fade, (blue pin-stripes around flames). Some of the features include a one of a kind hand-made grill, filled cowl vent, smoothed running boards, and frenched in 1939 Ford tail lights. Other features include a sub-frame clip from a 1967 Chevy Chevelle with a matching rear end from a 67 Chevelle as well. The engine is a stock V8 Chevy 350 with a 4 barrel carburator and a 350 turbo automatic transmission. The interior of this one of a kind beauty is absolutely breath-taking. The seats and door panels are done in a light red tweed upholstry. The carpets and headliner is done in the same color Poppy red as the exterior of the car. The dash is custom with white face VDO gauges, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, and power windows. As stated before, our father just recently passed away without any warning. He was in the midst of doing several minimal repairs (some rust) around the vehicle. This is reflected in the pictures that show body work that was in progress. None the less, this Hot-Rod starts right up and can be driven to it's new home where it can continue to be showered with all the love and affection she deserves!!! The car was appraised in May 2010. In it's current condition, the appraisal came in between $19,500-$22,500! However, we are willing to part with her for $15,000 and will entertain reasonable offers. The car will be sold as is, and the buyer will be responsible for making all shipping/transportation/pick-up arrangements. All sales are final. Seller will not release vehicle until all funds have cleared. This includes cashiers checks, money orders, and personal checks. Seller accepts paypal. Any and all questions are welcomed, and will be answered in a timely fashion. It is our hope that you find as much enjoyment from this HOT-ROD as we did. We can no longer enjoy this car without our father here with us.
