Features: 1972 Javelin SST. 401 4V, 727 transmission, 15" wheels, front disc brakes, limited slip rear (3:15?) and originally had "C" stripe paint scheme. Original 401 motor. Additions... Holley 600 dual feed carb, Edelbrock intake, Crane cam, Headers and electric fan. 727 transmission with TCI convertor. 63,000 original miles. AMX add ons ... ducktail rear spoiler, cowl hood including air grabber cleaner (not pictured), AMX dash package with tach. From a 1973 AMX I used to have. Pierre Cardin interior & vintage American Racing 15" wheels are add ons. The interior is from my 1973 AMX. The wheels were purchased in 1988. Extra parts ... original 15" rally wheels with caps and rings & AMX steering column.(not pictured). Also, have a set of O.E. chrome mirrors. History: Transpo '72 car....it's a piece of history. Previously owned by a Nixon V.I.P. I am the second owner - the original owner was a member of the Nixon admninistration. (documented) I bought the car at a fundraising auction for Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Md ...1983. (an exclusive prep school for girls) Still have the original booklet from the sale. Original owner stated, at the auction, that the car was on display at Transpo '72 which was held at Dulles Airport. Sold by Courtesy AMC in Bethesda, MD. Restored in 1988-1989. Car has been parked for past 12 years. Car was originally white w/ blue cloth interior, blue vinyl roof, luggage rack and blue "C" stripes. Condition: Needs some TLC and restoration. It has been sitting for the past 12 years. It's gonna need work.Clear coat on paint is coming off, doors sag, gauges inop, a/c removed etc. - please ask for more details if you need them before bidding. The car needs restoration. See photos. It does run... pulled it out of the garage today for the photo shoot. The pictures should tell the story but will be more than happy to answer questions. This car was restored by a NASCAR crew member who is a master mechanic (Old Milwaukee & Kodiak #27). It is very fast and light in the rear end ... title weight is 3200 lbs - mostly up front.
