I will start this off by saying this is the cleanest, and best running taxi I have seen on all of ebay since I purchased this vehicle over six years ago! This car starts up every single time, and runs and drives like a top. Up for sale is a 1967 Austin FX4 Taxi, more commonly know as a London black cab! While these are very famous on the streets of London, you will be the only one in your town with one! We have owned this car for about five or six years now, and it is time for it to move on to a new home. Car is extremely loaded for its age and comes with all of the following: -4 Cylinder Gasoline Engine -Automatic Transmission -Power Steering -Power Brakes (4 wheel drum) -AM/FM Radio with cassette -Aftermarket A/C and Heat (Currently inoperative, but may just need a charge) -Privacy Glass between driver/passenger compartment -Suicide Rear Doors -Drivers Compartment has the drivers seat and a fold down seat (parachute jump seats) -Passenger Compartment has two rear facing fold down seats (parachute jump seats) and a forward facing bench -Rear boot with Spare tire and original jack -Five BRAND NEW TIRES (less than 2,500 miles on them) -New Exhaust system! -Four Sliding windows -Rear Throw pillow for bench seats -Four sets of seat belts, two for the front and two for the rear bench (however you can fit three smaller adults in the rear bench!) -Front grill now has an AUSTIN emblem ??-Car comes with two sets of keys (One for doors, one for gas cap, one for trunk, and one ignition per set!) -Car has been garage kept ever since we bought it and when we picked it up the previous owner had it in a garage as well! -Car leaks just a little bit of transmission fluid. It is about the size of a quarter if you leave it sitting in the garage for about a week. It is nothing major and the car is not low on fluid at all I just feel like I should disclose all known information to any potential buyers. The car runs great, we try to drive it at least once every other week to keep it running, and it always starts up! The engine has had a lot of work done to it and it runs great, we have had NO problems with it ever breaking down! Also the interior has been redone sometime before we bought it and is in great condition, none of the seats have any rips or tears, the carpets are clean, and the headliner does not sag at all. However the drivers door panel has a 3 or 4 inch crack in it (See pictures) However, the paint has seen better days, we think the car used to be in service as a taxi/limo in New York city at one point, and in some places you can see the old orange paint under the black coat. The paint and body looks great from about ten feet, but up close you can see that the paint is cracking pretty badly, and there are a few good sized dents here and there, but it is almost a 43 year old car! We always talked about repainting it, but we didn't want to lose the beautiful checkerboard design on the side, and honestly I don't think it looks too bad at all. Please note, we do not know the exact milage of the vehicle. Current odometer has 22K on it, but that is the second one that we have put in since we purchased it. Last one said about 56K but was inop when we purchased vehicle. This is one extremely unique car that has great character and always turns heads no matter where you go! It is really hard to put a price on such an amazing car like this so please feel free to make any offer, we have a lot more money into this vehicle than the current asking price however, we are a little flexible. I will be straightforward right now that the reserve is at 5,000 dollars, but if it doesn’t make it that high we might be willing to entertain offers.
