Captain America rides again! But this reliable Honda chopper doesn't shake or leak oil like the original Harley panhead of movie fame. The front end and forks are a chopper kit, so the frame has not been altered. Engine is stock, except muffler baffles are drilled out for an authentic Captain America sound. Ape hangers and high sissy bar have been added as per original. Custom paint done in 2005 and is in great shape. Overall bike is in very good condition but is not perfect. Has a few very small scratches and rock chips in the paint and a few bits of rust here and there on some of the chrome pieces, such as the footpeg mounts and rims. Bike is very easy to ride and is safe and stable. I use it as a regular daily ride from time to time, rotating among my various other bikes. My wife has even ridden it to work! It starts and runs just fine, and the tires are in very good shape. I would say they have about 70% of their life left. I've owned the bike for 5 years and have had no trouble whatsoever with it. I'm selling to make room in my garage for another bike I just bought. Bike runs fine out on the highway at 70mph plus and gets 40+ mpg. It is very stable due to its long wheelbase, and is only slightly harder to turn in confined spaces than a stock 600 Shadow. It needs nothing and has the famous Honda reliability going for it. It has been trouble-free for me, needing only tires and regular fluid changes. This old school chopper is a real attention getter. Many is the driver who has signaled "thumbs up " as they drive by or wait at a light. It often draws onlookers at filling stations and restraunts, with the inevitable comment being "Isn't that the motorcycle from that movie?" I will hate to see it go, but will feel good about someone else having as much fun on it as I have. I can't ship it, but I will assist with shipping or I will ride it to your doorstep within 300 or so miles of San Antonio, Texas, if you will drive me back or buy me a plane ticket. Bike may be seen in San Antonio and is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. No test rides unless you have a m/c license and proof of your ability to purchase.
