Vehicle Detail
I am in the market for a new bike so I am selling my K75. The odometer stopped working about 400 miles ago. It now reads 41,681 miles. Used replacements are readily available on eBay, but since I decided to sell it, I opted not to replace it. The front tire has about 80% remaining life on it. The rear tire needs to be replaced. It has a leather Corbin seat with a flip up passenger back rest. This seat is remarkably comfortable. I have spent a lot of time and money getting it ready to sell. In the past year I have done the following:Replaced the air intake systemReplaced the radiator fanReplaced the rear shock with a Progressive, 1" shorter than stockHad the starter rebuiltAll of the above was done by a professional mechanic. I did the cosmetics (like clean her up, remove rust from that frame and handlebars and touch them up with black paint). Although the starter has been rebuilt, it occasionally sticks. When this happens all you have to do is roll the bike backward or forward, in gear, an inch or two. I know nothing about mechanics, but the mechanic told me this is not uncommon and is preferable to buying a new starter. It also comes with a new rubber, kick-stand stop. I have not installed it yet, but it will come with the bike. It also comes with a National Windshield plexiglass windshield/fairing. The bike runs like a champ, and handles really well with the new rear shock installed. There is one remaining glitch that will need to be repaired, unless, like me, you would prefer to just live with it. There is an intermittent problem with the headlight and taillight flickering at low idle. The mechanic tells me a new battery will correct the problem, but I am not 100% certain of that.
