Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1986 1/2 DeLongpre Design Fiero GT 2.8 L manual 4 speed transmission. My Son bought this car from the original owner 18 years ago in Huntington Beach and I bought it from him 6 years later when he needed a bigger family car. This one has been stored since 2004 in my garage and outside for one year under double covers. It is beautiful condition for it's age having only ever been in a slight rear ender where it went under the back of a truck and scratched the hood (repaired), also there is a very small indent near the air intake that was from rolling it onto a car trailer after an idiot valet parking guy cooked the clutch driving it against the park brake. I only drove the car occasionally and I know I will regret selling it. Unfortunately, it's not a very useful car for Grandkids and I am positive Fiero's will become much sought after sports cars, probably sooner than later. The car has all the original owners manuals and paperwork for anyone interested in having this car for showing, it also has a genuine GM bra with the Fiero logo heat branded into it. Both the sail panels and the dew wipes are cracked, but I have two new genuine GM dew wipes (still in the packaging) and a used GM right side sail panel that will go with the car (I could never find the Left side). The interior is in good shape, I always kept the dashboard covered and shades in the windshield, some of the soft vinyl parts have warped a little and will need to be re-glued plus the outer piping on the driver's seat is cracked, but no threadbare spots. Also the driver's side carpet is stained and should clean out. I also have a large collection Fiero spare parts that I took from good cars at junk yards which I will be listing after this car is sold, winning bidder gets first pick (not included with car) if so desired. The car has been under a non-operation certificate so it cannot be legally driven unless this is taken care of beforehand at the DMV, so I am selling the car "AS IS- WHERE IS" and suggest the winning bidder arrange to flat bed the car. However if you do wish to drive it away I can assist you to get the necessary temporary permits. I have a machine shop and modified the clutch master and slave cylinders to accept a more easily obtainable seals, the only other modifications to this car is the radio which I replaced with the premium option Fiero radio that was available for that year and installed a 10 disc CD player in the trunk. This is a LOW RESERVE auction, I will accept cash on pick up or certified cashier's check and hold the car till the instrument clears completely. I require a $200 deposit within 72 hours of auction end and the balance within 10 days. I do not accept PayPal, zero or negative feedback bidders don't bid If you need time after that to arrange pick up etc. that's OK so long as full payment is made, I once sold a milling machine on Ebay and the buyer couldn't get here from Arizona to pick it up for about 6 weeks . If you are interested, but would like to inspect the car before you bid, please call me and arrange a time, I've never sold anything that the buyer wasn't 100% delighted with. This car is a Fiero enthusiast’s dream come true.
