And a Great Investment As Well!!! If you know pickups, you know these are getting hot and hard to find…that is in super condition, less than 23k miles, Big Block 454, very nice paint, NO RUST, and very clean inside and out. This 79’ looks great 10 foot off but Even Better up close! It did receive one repaint about 4 years ago and has been owned by my Dad and a friend of his for many, many years. It cranks right up with the turn of the key [sounds absolutely awesome] and hits the road very well. The truck is very tight with no rattles or squeaks, the body lines are tremendously straight, the body is straight from quarter panel to fender and the doors and hood opens and shuts as they should. The Chevy has been very well preserved over its 31 years and in addition to presenting itself very well, everything works as it should. The gauges, lights, wipers, seatbelt buzzer, etc is all intact rounding out the quality of this time capsule. A close friend that has tried to get it forever from my Dad finally did through a multi-vehicle trade and has found himself in a tough predicament. He will soon need to start driving it every day or let it go allowing it to continue its current condition. He decided today after wrestling over it this past weekend to let it go. As nice as the truck is, it is not perfect and none of them are…The only things that I can think of is the original stereo was replaced with a CD player, the column shifter was shortened by the gentleman that my Dad got it from [who knows why], the grill was replaced years ago with a period correct tubular grill and it no longer has the factory truck rally wheels for those who like them better. These are all very easily reversed for the purest that desires 100% original but I wanted to list it just in case. I reserve the right to end this auction early due to having it for sale locally... I am pricing this truck to sell and don’t think it will last long so do not hesitate to bid and please do so with absolute confidence! Please have finances in order prior to bidding as well. Purely as a hobby, I have been blessed to sell cars and trucks to buyers all over the country making tremendous efforts in keeping a 100% feedback…that said, I have tried to be honest and accurate in all descriptions. I encourage however all to inspect this car if possible prior to bidding so that you can confirm my notes above or contact me with any questions at mdescamp@comcast.net or (865) 384-6017 or The Owner at (865) 307-6756. Note: He has a clear Tennessee Title. If you are the winning bidder, please expect to send a $2,500 deposit within 72 hours and have plans to pick the car up within 7 days. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I can assist with local direct carriers with both enclosed and open hauling available. If you have less than a positive 2 feedback, please contact me before bidding. Thanks for taking the time to look at my car and GOOD LUCK!On Jul-16-10 at 19:47:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked about the originality of the 454 motor due to the mirrors on the truck and the lack of air condition...I have never heard this before and can only state what I believe to be the case given what I have been told by the owner, what I see and what I remember about the truck from the past several years. My Dad reminded me a couple of days ago that prior to the 14 years that I have been familiar with the truck, it belonged to another owner (an older gentleman) for 12 years. I have not ran any number on the truck or anything like that so please buy based on these facts. It is very close to the reserve...so close thatmy friend will take a gamble by lowering it so that the next bid hits it. Please do not hesitate to call us at the numbers listed above with any and all questions. I do not believe there will be any disappointments here, especially for the money that it will be bought for. Good luck bidding and buying. On Jul-17-10 at 20:47:36 PDT, seller added the following information: OK, lets put the original big block question to rest once and for all...we went out and checked the block numbers and compared it to the VIN and it does match as anticipated... VIN on motor is C9S 136578 VIN on truck is CCS449S136578 Manufacture date 11/1978 The winning bidder will not only get a super truck but will get bragging rights to a very low mile matching number survivor with one repaint. You may never have an opportunity like this one again. Good Luck My Friends!
