It has the original 350 it came with.*** I’m reluctantly offering this 86 Suburban for auction. I’ve always been a fan of the square body Suburban and this is one that I waited a long time to acquire. This is a RARE opportunity to own a one owner, no accident history, southern, C20 Suburban with 45,000 actual miles. This is without a doubt the lowest mileage, cleanest, untouched ¾ ton Suburban you will ever find anywhere. This car was purchased new in Atlanta at Thornton Chevrolet in April of 86 and it has lived here ever since then. This means that it has ZERO rust anywhere. The underside is as clean as the outside. The interior is showroom perfect with two exceptions. The carpet could use a re-dye and the dash pad has some cracks in it. Dash pads are not very expensive or hard to install. The carpet is still in very nice shape but the color has sun faded. All of the seat covers are original and are in excellent as new condition. The headliner is also flawless with no rips or sags anywhere. All of the glass is clean and clear with no scratches or stars. The door panels are very nice as are the pull handles, door latches and arm rests. All the doors open and close like new, very tight with no rattles. This is just an unbelievable find. Everything on this truck works. Even the original clock with hands keeps perfect time. The original radio still works properly and the A/C is ICE COLD!! The battery is a brand new 72 month maintenance free with warranty from O’Reiley’s. This Suburban runs and drives perfect as well, even the choke operates perfectly, the fluids and filters are all fresh, with no service engine lights etc. One of the most amazing things about driving this truck is that there are no rattles….that’s not a typo or an exaggeration, it is super tight to drive vehicle. The brakes have no pulsing or squealing and the truck stops straight. Everything about this truck is bone stock and original. You will not be disappointed. One thing I like about the older ¾ ton Suburban is that it does not require emission inspections and they are easy to work on and maintain. Unlike newer cars that need diagnostic computers, this vehicle has simple systems that do not require expensive or specific tools or technicians. With the carbureted 5.7 (350) engine and the 400TH transmission, this truck should not require any major mechanical work for many years to come. The light blue on the exterior has been repainted and looks great. The dark blue on the rear barn doors is in need of a repaint but the dark blue on the sides of the truck looks VERY good. It looks nice enough that anyone would be proud to drive it anywhere. I got thumbs up from people on the road driving it so it’s obvious to everyone that sees it that it’s something special. I have a Georgia title for this Suburban in hand. The truck is in my business name so Georgia buyers will have to pay sales tax according to your county of residence.
