Vehicle Detail

1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne Pickup, 402 Big Block with Air, Short Box with Oak Wood Bed and Polished Stainless. This has been my Project Truck for over 4 years; I built this truck to be Driven, Saturday Night Cruises and Local Car Show Events. The Truck came from the Factory in Atlanta with the Cheyenne Option Package, plus I added a few more options and the Big Block to give it that “Super” look. This Truck just stands out with it Bright Torch Red and Arctic White Base Coat Clear Coat. No matter where I go people come up to check it out and talk and give compliments it’s a good feeling! It Shows Nice, Rides Great, Runs Good, Overall a Very Nice Truck. It does have a few imperfections and one could detail it more for strictly Shows, but unlike most listings on Ebay the pictures shown on web site below shows what is underneath the finish and work involved. ( http://bradeverett.com/truck/ ) Web Site will be up and displaying pictures in a few days. The 402 Big Block Chevy Engine is the heart of this truck; it was Machined and Balanced by one of the Premier Engine Builders in the Nation, Muscle Motors of Lansing Mich. It was machined .030 over and decked and honed w/plate for Moly rings. Typical work was also done on Rods and Heads, Gaskets were matched and mild Porting and blends were done. This is a Mild Engine with about 8:5 to 1 compression and 260 series Comp Hyd. Cam, it was build with thoughts of Low End Torque and Drivability. All parts on this Engine are either New or Rebuilt. The Truck has just over a 1200 miles on it since rebuild, Runs good, Idles around 600 rpm with 18-20+ inches of vacuum and has the Big Block Rumble from Flowmasters, all Gauges work. (Tach, Vacuum, Temp, Etc…) From the Pictures you can see this was an involved project, I rebuilt, replaced, restored, repainted most everything. The Metal Prep for Panels was either Soda Blasted, Sand blasted and/or plus Metal finished. On Inner Panel surfaces and Floor Pan “Por15” was used along with Epoxy Primers on rest. The Short Box is Southern sheet metal with New Cross Ribs. The Oak Wood has over 20 Coats of Clear Urethane, Wet Sanded every 3 coats and reapplied and then finished Sanded and Wheeled and Polished. (Very Nice!) It also has Polished Stainless Bed Strips and bolts. The Cab has had typical reworks, corners, floor, rockers, reinforcements, etc… Any rust or weak conditions were reworked, welded, stripped and sealed as needed. (See photos) New Tinted Windshield and weather stripping thru out. Doors shut firm, have Heat and Insulation sheeting underneath New Black Molded Carpet. Console and Buckets Seats were also restored. The Air Conditioning works and blows cold air. New parts for system are: 4 Row Radiator, Condenser, Accumulator, Heater Core, Alum Lines, Main AC hoses, Return Hose, ALL Radiator Hoses, Rebuilt Compressor, O-rings, Chrome Vent Balls, Center Chrome Vent, Under Dash Hoses, Fan Blower Motor, Fan Clutch, Rebuilt Higher Amp Internal Regulator Alternator, Etc…. All New Front End with Alignment and New TA Goodrich Tires. Truck sits on a 4 inch drop spring rear and 1.5 inch front. Most all Brake Parts are new including lines. The transmission is a 400, (I always planned on going to 700R) and it shifts good and has the rear seal replaced along with pan gasket, filter and New Alum. Pan, it does seep a little fluid if it sits. The 3:73 Rear Axle Has New Pinion Bearings and seals thru out axle. Extra Parts included: Original type Air Cleaner and BB riser stack, New Style P.O.A. Valve from Old Air Products for AC this Modern Technology is the way to go if truck is used for anything other than pure Show. A Painless brand 5 Post Door Jam Switch was going to use this set-up for Alarm system, Speakers, Dome light, Power window / locks. Also if wanted a extra Very Nice Drivers Door, the door on truck has been reskin’d, it was the best I could find at the time! It looks good and seals good, but I did find a nice solid door from AZ that I recently bought that will be available. Also I have extra paint left over from paint job. Please Email me with Questions and/or a Phone number and best time for contact. The “Reserve” Price is set at a Reasonable amount, with Time, Parts and Labor it would be hard to build another to match this Reserve Price. I have included many photos of the Truck.
