Terms & ConditionsINFORMATION CONCERNING SMOG CERTIFICATION: If you are a California Resident intending to register this vehicle in the State of California, AND not a Dealer, then we will provide you with either a “certificate of compliance” or “certificate of non-compliance” along with the sale. There will be an additional $50.00 fee added to your total amount if providing you with either of these. Since many of our buyers are from out of state, we will need email notification from you at least one business day prior to pickup to facilitate the test. We make no guarantees as to the vehicle passing or failing an emission test. The California Vehicle Code (CVC) 24007 (b) (2) issued in accordance with section 44015 of the Health and Safety Code, states that buyers can be presented with a certificate of compliance or a certificate of non-compliance (that has been issued within 90 days) before or at the time of sale. This will allow buyers to pay the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity.INFORMATION CONCERNING VEHICLE TITLE:If this vehicle has a California Application for Duplicate Title, which means there is no title in our possession and one must be applied for. The vehicle is equipped with a 4.9 liter V-8 engine and automatic transmission. The odometer shows 137,312 miles. The seats are Blue Leather and look fairly nice considering the cars model year. There are some minor signs of wear, but nothing serious (please see photos). The stereo face is missing, so let’s say it will need a stereo. Overall the interior looks really decent and the AC blows nice and cold. The exterior of the car is White and looks pretty good. It appears to be original paint with some minor dings, scrapes and scuffs. Both the front fenders appear to have what looks like minor cracks at the top of each fender and there appears to be damage to the right rear tail light and surrounding area (see photos). Overall the paint and body look nice. I’m not sure what’s going on with the tires on the car, but they have no business being on there. The car needs new tires.

The car starts right up and has a nice smooth idle. It sounds like the power steering pump has a minor whining noise but seems to work fine. When the car arrived to us it was nearly 4 quarts low on transmission fluid, and the donor had indicated there was a transmission problem. We added transmission fluid and the car seems to shift normally and drives well. We let it sit and idle for a solid 45 minutes with the AC on full blast and it never got hot and continued to idle well, however there is clearly a noticeable leak coming somewhere from the transmission. It could be a pan gasket but not sure. After 45 minutes the leak left a softball size puddle of transmission fluid under the car. We have not road tested the vehicle for any duration of time and there may be other problems with the vehicle that are not evident. Therefore, please bid accordingly! The vehicle has not been formally inspected by a mechanic. As is the case with all donated vehicles we do not perform a detailed mechanical or physical inspection. We simply convey what we are able to observe.

INFORMATION CONCERNING SMOG CERTIFICATION:
If you are a California Resident intending to register this vehicle in the State of California, AND not a Dealer, then we will provide you with either a “certificate of compliance” or “certificate of non-compliance” along with the sale. There will be an additional $50.00 fee added to your total amount if providing you with either of these. Since many of our buyers are from out of state, we will need email notification from you at least one business day prior to pickup to facilitate the test. We make no guarantees as to the vehicle passing or failing an emission test.
The California Vehicle Code (CVC) 24007 (b) (2) issued in accordance with section 44015 of the Health and Safety Code, states that buyers can be presented with a certificate of compliance or a certificate of non-compliance (that has been issued within 90 days) before or at the time of sale. This will allow buyers to pay the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity.
INFORMATION CONCERNING VEHICLE TITLE:
If this vehicle has a California Application for Duplicate Title, which means there is no title in our possession and one must be applied for. (In some cases people that donate their vehicles may have misplaced their title and could not locate it. In this situation the California DMV requires tthe registered owner to fill our a California Application for Duplicate Title Form, which will replace the oringal misplaced title and can be used to transfer ownership as well.– if you are bidding from out of State or outside the U.S. Please be aware that you may need to first title/register in California in order to title or export to your state/country of residence. This Paperwork is transferable through the CA DMV.
For vehicles sold to California Residents, you will be requried to pay the sales tax on the winning bid amount in your county of residents to the DMV at time of registering the vehicle. You will also be required to pay the registration transfer fees and any back due registration fees what ever they may be.
