Vehicle Detail
This is a 1940's, possibly 1944, Military Ford all wheel drive snow blower vehicle. I have seen old movies where these were used to remove the snow on mountain roads during WWII. The odometer shows 7,122 miles, which could be right, because that's alot of miles of snow!! It was used by the county for a few years later on and that is why it is painted orange. All the major specifications are on the brass plate on one of the pictures. It has high and low gearing. The truck serial number is 545390 War Dept. Reg. No. 60119188. The snow blower is driven by a large 6 cyl. International engine. The truck has a flat head v/8 engine. Both engines turn freely and have clean oil and antifreeze. The truck engine still has nice blue paint. It could be original or a new replacement. The snow blower moves up and down with hydraulic power and is 80 inches wide. There are only a few small spots of surface rust. My husband was always going to get it running but 10 years has gone by and he has decided it is time to sell! The tires are 8.25-20 and look good. This unit was manufactured by Klauer Manufacturing Co. of Dubuque, Iowa. I do not have a title, but if this would be a problem, the person my husband bought it from could possibly help, but he lives about 130 miles from here and my husband would have to drive there, because he doesn't remember the man's name. If you have any question, please email. We liive about 120 miles west of Minneapolis, MN. I also have a 40's Chev wrecker on auction right now, so check it out too!On Jul-17-10 at 09:37:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Once down payment has been paid, you will have sufficient time to pick up truck and loading will be no problem. I have had questions about securing title on this truck and have decided to try to secure a clear title, if buyer requests. If, for some unknown reason, I cannot secure the title, buyer has the option to cancel sale and down payment would be refunded.
