Honda us90 atc90 atc 90 Vehicle Description 1971 Honda us 90 atc 90 Rebuilt engine and trans in October of 2008. The details of the rebuild are: Replaced all gaskets and seals. Had a local dealer match bore cylinder to a new third step over size piston. Also, had them preform a valve grind and assemble the cylinder head with new valves and spring shims. Replaced sub-trans gears with gears form another us90 trans. Updated main trans with a complete main trans gear set, shifter shaft and shifter from a 1979 atc 110. Us90 trans p/n supersedes to atc 110 p/n. Disassembled clutch basket, cleaned and inspected friction plates and metal plates, all looked like new. Replaced both shift fork guide pins. Replaced timing chain and roller. Sent fuel tank and rear fenders out to a private body shop. Had dents pulled from tank, primed and painted. Rear fenders were sanded smooth, primed and painted. Sealed inside of fuel tank with por 15 tank repair after external work was preformed on tank. Rebuilt carburator using a Honda carb gasket kit. Replaced ignition point and condenser also. Engine runs strong with no smoke. Trans shifts smooth in both high and low ranges. Disassembled rear hub. Cleaned and greased as needed. Brake shoes both had about 90% left on liners. Tires all hold air with no weather cracks, dry rot or deep cuts. The right rear tire is the only one to have a repair, one push-in type plug. All tires have about 15% tread left! Seat comes with atc--it is not correct but will fit. Do not have mounting brackets for head light or the pivot nut for the brake cable. Fuel tank paint blistered in one spot--see photo. The ends of the foot pegs are cut off--I don't know why. Bought atc in January of 2008 as a pile of parts with both side covers removed off engine.
