PLEASE READ DETAILS PRIOR TO BIDDING VEHICLE DESCRIPTION AND GENERAL CONDITION: Up for auction is a very rare 1985 Mercedes 500SEL that was just donated to a charitable foundation and is being sold with NO RESERVE. This is a Euro Model. The Euro Models have quite a few more options then their US counter part, such as heated seats, fully adjustable split rear seating and flush mounted head lights among other things. This vehicle is in fairly good shape with some minor fading to the rear doors. The interior is decent although a good cleaning will make a big difference. The vehicle is equipped with a 8cyl engine and automatic transmission. The odometer shows 198,678 miles. It’s fairly well equipped with most of the options. The Seats are TAN LEATHER and appear to be in decent condition, although a good detail will make a huge difference. The exterior of the car is BLACK and is showing signs of wear and is faded. It has a few door dings and scratches. The tires appear to be decent with 25% plus road life left. Please refer to the photos included in this auction for more description details. The donor indicated that the vehicle is in need of a fuel pump and it's not currently in running order. As is the case with all donated vehicles we do not perform a detailed mechanical or physical inspection. We simply convey what we are able to observe. There may be other problems with the vehicle that are not evident. Therefore, please bid accordingly! INFORMATION CONCERNING VEHICLE CONDITION: Every effort has been made to photograph important details of the vehicles body condition, however small dings, scratches and blemishes in the vehicles paint and body are often difficult to catch in the camera lens, so if you fail to personally inspect the car, please know that these imperfections may exist. Since the car was donated we do not have any further information on the vehicle other than what is provided herein. Once again - As is the case with ALL our donated vehicles we can only provide bidders with a very limited evaluation of the car's condition. We are not in the body shop or automotive repair business and cannot guarantee that our observations are 100% accurate. The car has not been formally inspected and buyers should understand that the opinions provided herein are purely observational and are not a guarantee of condition. INFORMATION CONCERNING SMOG CERTIFICATION: If you are a California Resident intending to register this vehicle in the State of California, AND not a Dealer, then we will provide you with either a “certificate of compliance” or “certificate of non-compliance” along with the sale. There will be an additional $50.00 fee added to your total amount if providing you with a “certificate of compliance”. The California Vehicle Code (CVC) 24007 (b) (2) issued in accordance with section 44015 of the Health and Safety Code, states that buyers can be presented with a certificate of compliance or a certificate of non-compliance (that has been issued within 90 days) before or at the time of sale. This will allow buyers to pay the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity. INFORMATION CONCERNING VEHICLE TITLE: This vehicle has an Application for Duplicate Title which means there is no title in our possession and it must be applied for – if you are bidding from out of State or outside the U.S. Please be aware that you may need to first title/register in California in order to title or export to your state/country of residence. Paperwork is transferable through the CA DMV. If buyer is out of state they may also be required to apply for title in CA only prior to their state. INFORMATION CONCERNING PAYMENT FOR VEHICLE: Winning bidders must contact our office within 24 hours after auction end and will be required to pay in full within 3 business days after auction end.
