Vehicle Detail

Overview What we have here ladies and gentlemen is my completely stock and near showroom condition 1993 Acura NSX. Its black with the black leather interior, and when I take people around in it, they can't believe the car isn't brand new. The leather even still smells good. I'm selling this car and my motorcycle so that I can use the proceeds to buy something much more expensive. It's the deal I made with my wife. ;-) This car has been cherished and babied by its owners. You can read all about the story of when I got the car on my personal blog. I've had the car for nearly four years and its been one of the greatest vehicles I've ever had. Before me, Brandee owned this car for about 6 years (if I recall correctly) and since she worked at an Acura dealer the only people who had touched it were Acura certified NSX technicians. Since I've owned it, the same thing applies, so for at least a decade the only work done on this car was done by someone specifically certified to NSX maintenance. I'm talking about everything down to the oil changes. Photos I've uploaded several photos to a set over on Flickr. These photos were taken with a Canon 5D Mark II and are in full resolution (5,616 x 3,744) so you can zoom in as much as you like. Here is an embedded slideshow so you can see the images without having to click through to Flickr. Video One of the hardest things about evaluating whether to buy a car or not is wondering if its really in as good of shape as people claim it is. Well, I shot this little video just this weekend of the car in action. I'm not a great videographer, but it gives you a little sense of the car going down the road. Its as much for me to remember her by as for you guys to get to see it. Details, Details, Details First of all, let me tell you what all is wrong with the car: On one little edge of the drivers side visor its splitting a little. You can't even see it, but it has been like that since I got the car. The CD changer in the trunk doesn't work. Never has. I didn't fix it because I don't own any CDs anway! The rear speaker that is between the two seats gave out. It needs to be replaced. At FULL steering wheel lock, the oversized front wheels I put on the car rub just a tad. That's it. Seriously. I can't think of one other thing wrong with the car. So if you are looking for a "fixer upper" you need to move on. But if you want a used NSX that is in better condition than your other cars then you can stop looking. This car as always been garaged while I owned it, and I know that Brandee kept it garaged AND covered. And if you spend any time with it whatsoever you can't help but to think that it has always been delicately cared for. Its also obvious that it has never been driven hard as the motor, transmission and every other component are tight and just in superb condition. I did make three "modifications" to the vehicle when I got it: I had the windows tinted. This was done at Earmark Car Audio (Dallas' Premier facility), and we did the most expensive tint they offer. It cost $500 and is immaculate. I also had Earmark add a high end alarm as well as remote door locks and trunk release. This system was also the best they offered, it never has false alarms, and the range on the remote is fantastic. I added the aftermarket set of wheels and tires you see in the photos. They fit well, although this set of tires rubs slightly on full lock. As the rubber wears down it will probably not rub at all, as the previous set did not. However this set of tires is practically brand new so it's going to take a while unless you drive it a lot more, or a lot more aggressively, than I do. I do have the original set of wheels that came with the car, and will give them to the next owner as long as you take care of transporting them along with you. Otherwise I'll dispose of them myself. The car has never been wrecked, has no dings, and is in perfect cosmetic condition. Actually, a car this old has no right to look as good as it does! The paint is like black glass, and I've had it polished twice since I owned it. When its freshly done the vehicle is mesmerizing. Just amazing black mirror-like finish. When I got it there were some rock chips on the front of the hood which drove me crazy, so I had my Acura dealer re-paint the hood to get rid of them. You would never know, because they used the Acura paint, charged me an arm and a leg, and generally just restored the car's natural beauty. I don't know what else to tell you, but if you have any questions at all feel free to either post them here or email them to me at John at Pozadzides dot com. As you can see I'm a very public figure, I have a perfect seller's reputation, and I'm happy to answer any and all questions about my NSX because it's absolutely immaculate. Final comment: the reserve is set well below the value of this car. So if you are a serious buyer don't worry, I'm a serious seller. On Jul-02-10 at 10:43:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had a couple of questions about work performed on the car as well as specific items that might be included, so wanted to add that information to the listing. Yes, the spare is included. So is the original owners manual, the tool kit, even the original window sticker. I've added new photos of these items to the Flickr slideshow. You'll also get the original keys, the NSX keychain, all of the documentation I have, and a Car & Driver magazine featuring the NSX. It's had the following work done: Timing belt and water pump both replaced at 20,639 miles Valve adjustment at 20,639 miles Sears DieHard Platinum ($189) battery Jan, 2009 Clutch master and slave cylinders replaced Trunk and rear hatch struts replaced Tires replaced at 34,845 miles
