Vehicle Detail
What could be better than a Roadrunner? How ‘bout a Roadrunner with a 440 AND a 4 speed?! And even better…Plum Crazy Purple! This one’s got it all, and it is too sweet to describe (but I’ll do my best!) I LOVE this car, and hate to part with it, but the garage is WAY overflowing so something’s gotta go! So here she is, my absolute favorite car, in my absolutely favorite color! She’s a screamer, and SO easy to drive, you just have to be here to experience it. Following are some details about this cool car: History: Born in 1973 as a small block automatic car, she spent most of her life in sunny California (we should all be that lucky!). While there, she was professionally upgraded to the 440 4 speed drive train. Several years ago, she was brought east to this area, where she was painted in her new 2 stage purple and had new seat covers and carpet installed. Fender tag is present but no build sheet was ever found. Fender atg decodes as follows: RM21: Plymouth Belvedere,Satellite Medium, Road Runner 2 Door Coupe G3G: 318 150HP(net) or 170HP(net) 1-2BBL 8 CYL 1973 St. Louis, MO, USA 203497: Sequence number E44: 318 cid 2 barrel V8 230hp D34: Light Duty Automatic Transmission JY9: Dark Gold Poly Exterior Color D6L3: Trim - Luxury, Vinyl Bucket Seats, Parchment HL2: Unknown Int. The transmission hits every gear right on, very quiet and smooth, and, the nice thing about the clutch is that I have no problem driving it, even having had back surgery last year! It is a true pleasure to drive! All lights work, radio and heater work, even the little key warning buzzer works! Brakes are good, front end is tight, and the tires are in pretty decent shape, on 15” Rallye wheels. This is a seriously fun car, for whatever your driving and cruising pleasure may be.
