Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1973 Honda CT70 minitrail. Overall I'd say it's in average condition. As far as I know it's all original aside from the repro tires. It has scratches, scrapes and a few dents here and there and should be expected of a CT70 that was actually used for it's intended purpose and didn't sit idle in a garage it's entire life. That being said, It does run and ride pretty well. Starts on the first kick with a little throttle. I believe the cam chain adjuster or guide needs to be replaced, the tensioner is sticking, or I'm not using the tensioner properly. It makes noise when it's on the sidestand, but sitting vertically it makes no noise. The carb is clean, but every now and again it has a little fit and idles low, then comes back and idles normally. It may be the points, or pilot jet setting I'm not sure. The engine has good compression but burns oil. Every old Honda 50 or 70 I've had has had this problem from my 63 CA110, 66 C100 and the CT70. The left handlebar was bent and bent back and could use replacing. They both still fold down and the knobs are good. The grey sheathing on the wiring has started cracking due to age, the high/low switch knob is broken, tail light lens has a crack in it and the ground terminal for the tail light sometimes comes off. It would make a good pit bike, swap meet or racetrack transport, restoration candidate, or just enjoy it as it is with a little tinkering. And if you happen to have a machine that is nice and has no title, this engine on this is titled, not the frame. Swap engines and your machine is now street legal! I can drop it off at a shipping terminal for gas cost or crate it up for a fee as well. The purchaser is responsible for all shipping fees. I prefer pickup and can keep it stored as long as it's paid for but as previously stated I can drop it off at a shipping terminal. If you have any questions I will answer them as quickly as possible. Good luck!
