Suzuki LT500r Quadzilla 500cc 2 Stroke “J” model Vehicle Description Up for auction is a 1988 Suzuki LT500, this quad is all original, never been modified or abused. I’m the orginal owner of this quad and have the title for it. The compression is good and was running as of last fall. I had a leaky carb (not bad for 22yrs) and had removed it. I have the original carb but its not on the quad at this time. I replaced the floats and seals and need to get new fuel line. I’m selling the quad so someone can restore it back to showroom fresh. The pictures show the factory finish is in good shape, never over heated, all the plastics are complete and in great shape, no cracks, minor scratches. All that is need to use is install carb and fuel line, possibly a new drive chain and some basic maintance to make sure its safe. I’ve set a reserve on this quad to keep it honest. Everyone knows the power this quad makes and its potential for performance. The quad can be seen and is for sale locally also. Buyer is responsible for pickup, I will not ship. The quad is sold as-is and with all off road vehicles the responsibility is to the buyer for suitability of application. Please don’t send messages to trade for it, or stop the auction early. I also have the original certificate of origin and paper work when I bought the quad new in 1988.On Jul-03-10 at 17:40:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Video of the quad running after carb installed, I had the carb on first and then had to remove to adjust the pilot screw, I set it 1 3/4 turns out, and got it running, needs adjustment further adjustment, but you can see it runs, lights work, trans and clutch. In the video you can see me tapping the kick starter to bring the piston up to the top, the kick back on these big 2 strokes is brutal. But you can see that it has high compression and it sounds good. The gas was old and from little outboard, so it smoked bad.
