Vehicle Detail

1966 Chrysler 300 2 door Hardtop I found this car under an oak tree in the foothills of Calaveras County. It has been sitting for approximately 20 years. Presently, it does not run. It is a lifetime California car and is from San Jose. For the most part it has been sheltered from the rain and the sun. The body has zero rust, except for a few small bubbles under the vinyl top. The bubbles are not bad. Worst case may require repairs to a few small spots half the size of a dime. The ones I have looked at were surface rust only. I do not think you will have to do any significant work to the roof or to the car period as far as body work goes. It is extremely solid. All the glass is intact, and the car closed up nice and tight. It was dry inside when I picked it up on a rainy day. Issues The car has 74,000 original miles on it. I can’t confirm this with any paperwork. The car has been sitting since 1988, is no longer in the DMV system and I don’t have a title on it. You will get a clean “bill of sale” from me and I will provide you with the prior owner’s name and phone number as needed. A new title isn’t much trouble for an older car no longer in the system. A bill of sale and a VIN verification is all that is required. Either you take the car down to DMV or a police officer confirms it much like a “fix-it” ticket. It’s not hard. Or you can request a new title via U.S Mail from Arizona DMV in Las Vegas. It’s 85.00 and very easy also. I just don’t have the time and live in a small town in the mountains along way from DMV. The small inconvenience you will incur is reflected handsomely in my reserve price. Please feel free to call me if you have questions or concerns. · When the car was parked it was running from what I have gathered. The heater core failed and was in the process of being replaced then all work stopped for whatever reason. The car has sat ever since. · Then someone walked off with the carburetor. · Like I said, it’s been sitting for 20 years. Rodents have made their home inside the car. There is a considerable amount of rodent droppings inside as well as acorns and leaves from the little critters. If you aren’t afraid of some poop, you could get a gem for cheap. Engine The car has the original 383 4bbl motor in it but like I said hasn’t been fired up in many years. I’m not going to guarantee anything – but the way this car looks and what I’ve been told. I think with a little tinkering this car will run. It also has the original data plate card from the dealer (see pic). The original transmission and drive train is still intact. Body Speaks for itself, see the pictures. There are a couple small dings and one scrap, but for an old car that still has its original paint job – this thing is nice. All the glass is intact and perfect. All the trim is really, really nice as well as the bumpers. One small piece of trim on driver’s side rear ¼ is missing. Grill is very nice as well as all lights except for one broken headlight. Interior Bucket seats in front are very nice. They need the rodent droppings cleaned up and scrubbed down but very nice. The bottom piece of the rear seat has two tears but the upper section is in pretty good shape. The dash has a small crack but is useable. The gauges and steering wheel and everything else is very nice. A shop vacuum to suck out all the droppings and some bleach and water to scrub it down. Pull out the old carpet and replace it and I think you’re on your way to a decent driver. But it will take some cleaning. (Once Again) it will take serious elbow grease. Summary Once again, this is an old car that I can’t tell you very much about. The original owner’s name is still on the data card that comes with the car. You can do your own research if you like. If this car was a Charger or Belvedere in this kind of condition with the 383 4bbl motor people would be jumping through hoops to get it. This would be a great car to clean-up and restore or just clean it up and make a driver out of it. It is very cool and I’d love to keep it but I have too many project cars now. I’m going to say this one more time so there is no confusion or misunderstanding. This car has been sitting for 20 years. I will not guarantee anything about the car either stated or implied. I have climbed around underneath it, scrubbed down the exterior and am giving you an honest and straightforward assessment of the vehicle. It’s all original and very straight. I wish I could find a Camaro or Mustang like this. If you don’t know what you’re doing please, DO NOT BID on my car. If you do not have more then 3 transactions (history) on EBAY I would like you to contact me first prior to bidding. Please don’t take offense but this is just business. There are way too many irresponsible people out there. I have excellent EBAY history and I am going to keep it that way. Sal (209) 736-0006 Salvatore0007@goldrush.com
