1985/86 Honda ATC 250r Ready for ANYTHING! Ex. Cond. Vehicle Description Thanks for looking! I never thought this day would come . . . I've been the proud owner of this trike for five years. It's only been trail ridden. The reason I am selling is that at 40 years old, it's just too much for me. I prefer my 350x. At any rate, up for auction is my 1985/86 Honda ATC 250r. The frame and chassis are from a 1985, but the plastics and decals are from 1986. The motor is a long rod, 1988 quad motor with a ported 1986 jug (.80 over) and it runs an 1988 piston, so no need for a spacer plate. Runs a flat slide carburetor. The motor is solid, no leaks, starts right up, and has a ton of compression - maybe 25 hours on the rebuild. I have replaced all bearings and bushings in the last five years in the swinger. It runs a Boyesen reed cage, larger main jet, FMF pipe with NEW silencer (zero hours on the silencer - just a few start ups), and an Uni Filter w/red Outwears skin. ALL PLASTIC IS OEM. The headlight bezel and shrouds were replaced two years ago with new old stock, even the shroud decals are Honda OEM. Any discoloration that looks orange is just a reflection. Rear rims and tires were new takes offs and are 95+%. Rear axle is straight. The motor has polished side cases and polished front forks. Both OEM skids are in place and in great shape. I run premium gas with Klotz synthetic mixed 40:1. The pictures speak volumes! It's not for a rookie - trust me. It's not a 10/10, but it looks pretty darn nice for a 25 year old machine and it turns a lot of heads. Some Minor Negatives: One tiny seat cover split 1/2 inch in the top vinyl only (see picture) I covered it with some vinyl sealant. Heavy boot scuffs on the right rear fender. Front forks leak a little oil. Carburetor will purge some gas if the petcock is left on - probably just needs the float to be adjusted. Top bar on headlight guard is missing. For sale locally too.
