Up for auction is a 1977 MGB that was just donated to a charitable foundation and is being sold with NO RESERVE.
The vehicle is equipped with a 4cyl engine and manual transmission. The odometer shows 06096 miles and might have rolled once or maybe twice. The Seats are Tan vinyl and appear to be fairly worn. The Drivers seat is pretty bad. The dash pad is in pretty good condition with no cracks, but the door panels are in need of repair and have speaker holes. The carpet has been removed and the convertible top is pretty worn with slits and the back plastic window is cracked and yellowing, although it still snaps into position as it should. The exterior of the car is Blue and is showing signs of wear and needs a repaint. There are some minor dents, dings and scratches, but over all looks decent. The stainless steel moldings have their share of small dings. There is some minor rust at the bottom of the front quarter panels but the underside of the car appears to be decent, with what appears to be just surface rust. The rims appear to be original and the tires are fair.

This vehicle starts right up on its own power, and appears to go into gear as it should, however the cable that holds the gas pedal is loose and needs tightening. It seems to idle well, however we did not drive the vehicle. Mechanically it appears to be decent, but since we are not mechanics we would suggest that you consider it will need some sort of mechanical work to be brought into a reliable state. It appears this vehicle has been parked for quite some time and the fact that it’s registration indicates it was last registered in 1997, suggests it was parked for over ten years. There could be other issues with the drive-train that we are unaware of and since we have not driven the vehicle it’s difficult to assess. As is the case with all donated vehicles we do not perform a detailed mechanical or physical inspection. We simply convey what we are able to observe. There may be other problems with the vehicle that are not evident. Therefore, please bid accordingly!

INFORMATION CONCERNING SMOG CERTIFICATION:
If you are a California Resident intending to register this vehicle in the State of California, AND not a Dealer, then we will provide you with either a “certificate of compliance” or “certificate of non-compliance” along with the sale. There will be an additional $50.00 fee added to your total amount if providing you with a “certificate of compliance”.
The California Vehicle Code (CVC) 24007 (b) (2) issued in accordance with section 44015 of the Health and Safety Code, states that buyers can be presented with a certificate of compliance or a certificate of non-compliance (that has been issued within 90 days) before or at the time of sale. This will allow buyers to pay the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity.
INFORMATION CONCERNING VEHICLE TITLE:
If this vehicle has a California Application for Duplicate Title, which means there is no title in our possession and one must be applied for. (In some cases people that donate their vehicles may have misplaced their title and could not locate it. In this situation the California DMV requires tthe registered owner to fill our a California Application for Duplicate Title Form, which will replace the oringal misplaced title and can be used to transfer ownership as well.– if you are bidding from out of State or outside the U.S. Please be aware that you may need to first title/register in California in order to title or export to your state/country of residence. This Paperwork is transferable through the CA DMV.
INFORMATION CONCERNING PAYMENT FOR VEHICLE:
Winning bidders must contact our office within 24 hours after auction end and will be required to pay in full within 3 business days after auction end. THERE IS A $50.00 ADMINISTRATION FEE THAT WILL BE ADDED TO THE FINAL PRICE FOR ALL VEHICLES. FULL PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN THREE DAYS OF THE END OF AUCTION.

All taxes, fees, and penalties due to the DMV, are the responsibility of the buyer.
INFORMATION CONCERNING PICK-UP OF VEHICLE:
Pickup must occur within THREE (3) days of the end of the auction, unless other arrangements are made with us. There will be a storage fee of $20.00 per day for any vehicle left on our premises after this time.
The winning bidder is responsible for picking the vehicle up at the Just Donated Inc. storage yard in the city of Orange, CA (off the 57 Freeway). The Address is 551 N Batavia St. Yard “F” Orange, Ca 92868.

This motor vehicle is being sold “AS-IS”, with all faults, including but not limited to those described herein, as well as any other faults or defects, whether or not presently known or discoverable with or without inspection and operation of the vehicle. Should the motor vehicle be found defective following its purchase, the buyer is fully responsible for any and all servicing and repair expenses. We do not allow test drives.
Once the vehicle leaves the premises, we are not responsible and there will be no refunds.

All sales are subject to a $50 administration/Doc fee and a $50 Smog fee if provided. California residents pay sales tax and registration fees. Out-of-State buyers may register and pay applicable taxes in their home state. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
Fee and Tax Information: For vehicles sold to California Residents, you will be requried to pay the sales tax on the winning bid amount in your county of residents to the DMV at time of registering the vehicle. You will also be required to pay the registration transfer fees and any back due registration fees what ever they may be. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU CONTACT US AND OBTAIN THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER ALONG WITH THE VIN OF THE VEHICLE YOU ARE BIDDING ON, SO YOU CAN CALL THE DMV AND GET THE EXACT AMOUNT YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY IF YOU WIN THE VEHICLE. OUT OF STATE BUYERS WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY SALES TAX IN CALIFORNIA AS LONG AS THE VEHICLE LEAVES OUR FACILITY ON A FLAT BED.
