Vehicle Detail

Hello there. You are looking at a white 1997 Nissan Maxmia with V6 3000 24 valve. This car has not been used the past winter as I have primarily used my Jeep. The inspection has expired 10/09 as you can see in the image of the inspection stickers. The car starts just fine and is even drivable. However, I will list to the best of my ability what I think is wrong with the car below. Aside from the issues, this car has had a lot of work done on it the past year. The most recent is a new alternator and battery. I have also had the brakes and rotors replaced within the last year, but since they have been sitting for awhile, they might need looked at. I'll explain the details below. To see high resolution images please go to my photobucket album here: http://s178.photobucket.com/albums/w265/llamabearduck/Nissan/ I have also upgraded the stock tape player deck to a Pioneer CD player with WMA/MP3/AAC readability. It also has an AUX port so you can plug your iPod or whatever external media source into it. Also, there is a set of Ronal wheels that I believe are upgrades from the factory wheels. What I think is wrong: (I'm not a mechanic, I'm just describing what does not function on the vehicle to the best of my educated ability) #1. The exhaust is malfunctioning (Making very loud noises) and I think it is causing the car to sputter when accelerated substantially. When cruising at a normal speed and not "gunning" it, the car seems to not have such an issue with sputtering. When I say sputter, it feels as if the car hesitates and the exhaust sounds like it's choking. So I'm not sure if it's a fuel pump issue or solely because of the exhaust issue. #2. Also, since the car has been sitting for awhile, when the car comes to a breaking halt, the car feels like it's shaking a bit during the time I'm actually using the breaks. #3. When I parked this car initially during the winter where I live, it snowed pretty hard and some jerk swiped the car, clipping the drivers side mirror, destroying it. No other damage was done to the car other than tearing off the mirror. I eBay'd the replace cost of this and it was under $50.00. A generic one cost around $35 I believe. After this damage happened, I took the car to a families place and parked it in a section of driveway that wasn't used. (Where the car is now, actually.) #4. The rest can be summed up by usual wear and tear of a car of this nature. There is a bit of pitting in the paint around the front where rocks hit up against from highway driving. There are a few small rust dots around the body that can be easily touched up. The gas cap lid warped somehow and it won't close properly (Just needs bent back into proper position I think). There is a small crack in the leather of the front dash right above the glovebox along with an imperfection or two throughout the cabin. The car comes with floormats but they are a bit stained from winter salt and such. There is a small stain on the back seat that can probably come out with a decent cleaning. (The 2 soccer stickers on the back comes off easily, I'll gladly take them off if you'd like. It doesn't take much at all.) Aside from these issues, the car is actually in decent shape. With a little bit of work this could be the perfect reliable car for someone. I'm sure I could probably sink $600 or so at the dealer to get this car up and running to perfection, but it's just not a practical decision for me right now as I have 2 other cars. If you're looking to work on this yourself, I bet you could probably fix this up for practically nothing. As I said, the car is drivable, but I do not recommend it since it is not inspected. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail or call anytime. If you'd like to come and take a look at it, we can arrange that. I would prefer to have the car picked up, but I'd consider shipping it as long as you make all the arrangements or at least walk me through it as I've never actually shipped a car before. Buyer to pay amount via PayPal. If you are coming to pick the car up I won't argue if you bring cash. If you do, I will leave positive feedback and mark item as paid immediately after payment that way there is no argument over eBay. If buyer is coming to pick the car up I would like to have the deal closed within a week or so. I'm starting this auction off at $500.00. I think this is very reasonable as a lot have sold for more in worse condition than mine. I will let you determine the ultimate final value of this car. Thank you and good luck! 412 - 956 - 4397 -Chris
