A very sharp 1984 Cj7 with a turbo diesel engine out of a 1980 Scout. Titled as a 1984. This Jeep is very simple and reliable; I would not hesitate to drive it across the country (ive put about 15000 highway miles on it driving between WI and NY in the last year). The diesel engine gets great gas mileage (20mpg), which makes this jeep into a practical daily driver as well as a torquey trail machine. The Electrical system has been custom created for the diesel engine and is all brand new and problem free. All switches are triple sealed, and additional Autometer gauges in the custom dash include a pyrometer and boost gauge. New Bestop seats are sitting in a freshly Herculined tub. $11,000 invested (with receipts) into this Jeep. Engine is a Nissan sd33T, transmission is T-19 with a granny first, twin stick Dana 300 transfer case. Brand new rebuilt clutch, Willwood hydraulic master/ slave cylinders new last winter. 36” Super Swampers still have legal tread left, but are getting worn down. Engine of unknown mileage, but it runs excellent. It has a free flowing intake and straight 3” exhaust after the turbo. There is some smoke when cold started, which clears right up once the motor warms up. Never had a problem starting in the winter without plugging it in, but plugging in the block heater makes starting much easier in cold temperatures. Rear axle professionally rebuilt last year with new internals. Heavy duty retaining plates and bearings, new 3.92 gears, and new Aussie automatic locker. I also will include 4.88 ring and pinion for the rear that can easily be put in to match the front. Front axle has Detroit Electrac selectable locker with 4.88 gears. (I planned on switching the front to 3.92 as well but haven’t yet). 4WD works great to get you out of a bind; I would not recommend using it on high traction surfaces until the ratios are matched. New wheel bearings, warn locking hubs. Solid fiberglass body and fiberglass fenders. One fender has a little bit of damage. Paint is a bit worn/ faded but looks good for most practical purposes. Frame is solid and looks nice and black. Heavy duty 2” receiver rear bumper, winch mount front bumper, heavy duty transmission skid plate. Included with Jeep are Soft Top functional but not perfect, bikini top, rear seat, power steering pump and gear (work great could be installed in place of manual), engine factory service manual, and many other parts.
