Vehicle Detail
Almost all original unrestored CT70. I have the CHP aftermarket carburator on it because I could not get the stocker to stop leaking. I should have bought the total rebuild kit, but kept ordering the parts I needed one at a time and gave up. Stock carb will be included in the sale, and it just needs TLC and patience that I don't have. I bought this bike from the son of the original owner, titled it, and got to work getting everything right. It was in great shape, but did not start and needed to be cleaned up. I washed and scraped off some of the 37 year old dirt to see what I had underneath, and was very happy with the condition. Under the fenders is some surface rust, but on the tops they are clean and shiny. Obviousely this bike has been sitting inside all it's life because it shows little wear from weather and age. Stamped steel frame is very nice, wheels are nice but not perfect, tires have some wear, front has 80% left and rear has 50%. Chain and sprockets are good and the engine has no leaks or cracks. Here's what I did to it: Put on new handlebars from CHP $100 New brake levers, both sides $17 New air filter element $9 - the little airbox was in perfectly good condition, rubber end caps are in tact. New Kitaco shocks $125 Aftermarket carb $59 Passenger pegs $10 New fork seals and fork oil. I have this little guy cleaned up and running like a champ. Starts right up and runs through all three gears perfectly. Smooth idle and responsive throttle. Headlight, tail light, speedometer and horn work, smooth throttle operation, brakes are firm and work great, new handlebars are straight and true, nothing sloppy or beat up. This bike honestly appears to have been treated great by the previous owner, and I've just ridden it up and down the driveway for 4 miles reliving my youth, this model was the first bike my dad bought me when I was 12. Bike is a 3 speed auto clutch model. It is titled and can be driven on the street legally. Runs up to 30 mph no problem. 1/2" long tear in seat is shown in the picture. other than that, original seat and base are perfect. shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will meet the carrier and hand it over, but will not crate. Any questions call Jeff at 920-882-8097
