Vehicle Detail

Due to the downhill slalom ride that the American economy has been on, my meticulous, retired neighbor , who is on a fixed income from the police department, is forced to sell his 1967 Buick Skylark Convertible. This is the first time I have ever listed anything for someone else on Ebay. It is extremely important to me for anyone who purchases anything from me is 100% satisfied with their purchase. This listing is no exception. I will try to mention every flaw that I know about this car, but if I miss something, it is not my intention to misrepresent. I wouldn’t list this car at all if I didn’t believe it to be one of the nicest 1967’s in existence. Of all the years I have been on Ebay the only time I got a neutral rating was on a $110 wireless keyboard and mouse that sold for $10 and the comment was that I could have described it better, but they were happy with the purchase…Go figure. So much for my perfect rating. This Pearl White 1967 Buick Skylark Convertible looks like it just came off the showroom floor. If only the best will do, this car is for you. In 2004 it was appraised on a National Value scale of 1 thru 6 with 1 being perfect and it ranked 2.3. I really don’t know how an unrestored 1967 car could be in any better condition. This thing is absolutely beautiful. Seats, rubber, even the sound proofing in the engine compartments is absolutely pristine, even the original floor mats are like new. The pictures do not do this automobile justice. If you live in or close to Arizona, I encourage you to contact me for a test drive. You won’t be disappointed. As the car sits right now it has 85,268 original miles. It has never been restored as it has always been pampered and garage kept. My neighbor lives in a home with a 1 car garage. His Land Cruiser bakes in the Arizona sun while his 1967 is protected from the elements inside. It has its original 340 cubic inch V-8 engine , automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, black power top that looks like it just was purchased yesterday. Tilt wheel, original mag wheels with red line tires that still have the little knobbies on them. The glass also is like new, no cracks or star repairs. It has original rear fender skirts, the original AM Sonomatic radio was working until the owner of the car went over a bump and for some reason it stopped working, maybe a tube came loose??, did they still have tubes in radios back in 1967? Anyway the radio is currently inoperable. Also the original factory air is complete but it needs a new blower motor as it only blows at low speed and probably could use a little shot of Freon, but the compressor was checked out and found to be in good working condition.. When I asked the owner about the heater, he told me he has never had it on. Living in Arizona, we do have that option. The only flaw I saw in the finish as I walked around the car was a very small chip in the left rear quarter panel, less than ¼ inch in diameter that has been touched up with the correct color touch up paint. All the chrome is bright and shinny. NO RUST! All the lights work including those in the dash. The owner has books for his books and all look like they are brand new. He has original sales booklets and just about anything a collector could dream of. As I searched Ebay for comps for this car I printed a few that were close, but nothing to really compare, to discuss with the owner. I found one that had trophies sitting next to it and mentioned that to the owner. He said he never showed the car but when he brought it to a car show to try and sell it they gave him a trophy for best original unrestored car and also there is another trophy in the trunk from a previous owner. There is a large Rubbermaid crate in the trunk full of literature , books and everything pertaining to this pearl white beauty. If I were a rich guy, I’d buy this great car, but unfortunately I’m on the same slalom ride as my neighbor is on. I have never put a reserve on any of my auctions, but this time I have to, to protect my friend from having to sell it at too great of a loss. If the reserve is not met, perhaps the high bidder will still have a chance to own this car. If my neighbor is confronted with taking less than the reserve and keeping the car, he may choose the former. If you have any questions or comments, I’ll be happy to address them. There will be a $500 deposit due, thru Paypal, at the end of the auction to hold the car until the balance is received in the form of a certified check or cash. This car was purchased in 2007 and has an outstanding balance owed on it. It will take 1 day to obtain a clear title after receipt of payment. I will be happy to email additional pictures for any serious bidder. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
