Vehicle Detail
This is a real 1937 Woody. All steel. This car is a California car that came out of the upper desert. It is a frame off restoration. It has an eight inch rear end. It has disc brakes. Power steering front end. Tilt column. The drive shaft has been installed for a 350/350 motor and transmission. Motor and transmission are used, out of a running car. Everything on the frame has been done well. The firewall has been welded in and painted for Street Rod preparation. The pan is a very nice original pan. Both the front, rear fender and sheet metal are all in good shape, prior to paint. All the stainless on the front end is in very good condition. Front bumper and rear bumper in good shape, needs rechromed. The running boards have beed recovered. The paint job is a good paint job, has some minor scratches from wood shop and transportation. It comes with original gauages that need restoration. Purchased a brand new canvas top from Labarron bonnie, not put on for allowance of further restoration. Bran new glide engineering seats, front and middle. Door hardware fits well and works well. Have regulators for the front doors, not installed as I was going for electric windows. The rear window of this car was metal and has been replaced with a wooden framed window. The tires and rims are just ok, not intending to represent finish product. The wooden body, which is the heart of these cars, was professionally built by Richard King & Son's in Illinois. The wood is all hard maple, with maple panels, original finger joints. The wood is beautiful!!! Everything fits well, doors shut good. The finish on the wood has 5 coats of spar marine varnish. The screws are the correct stainless steel slotted ovals with backer washers. The glass is all brand new with new felt and rubber. To complete the restoration the car needs wiring, upholstery, radiator, some chroming and misc. Comes with a clear California tile. Car is sold is, as is, where is, with no warranty. This car is also advertised elsewhere and reserve the right to end auction early. Call 714.287.4749 for more information.
