Vehicle Detail
Hi and thanks for looking - again! Yep - this the same car that was listed last month. The "Buyer" was located overseas and never made the payment. So . . . I now have to include a couple of statements: We'll only be selling to someone located in the United States, I reserve the right to cancel any bids and also reserve the right to end the auction early as it is listed locally. Please, do not email me that you want to double the price - all I have to do is email you my bank account number! Sorry, due to all the scammers that contacted me last time, this will have to be a cash item (except for the paypal deposit) (or you can write a personal check and pick it up after it clears). The starting price was lowered . . . we just want this car to find a good home! My Dad is reluctantly parting with this rare 1927 Erskine. He bought it in 1977, drove it a few times until it developed a problem with the clutch. It has been parked inside a dry garage since then. Not sure what it would take to get it running again - but the engine IS NOT frozen. The paint is in good shape except in several places where it is chipping off (see the rear view picture). It's a classic looking car that would make a great project for the right guy. There will be no reserve on this auction - please email me with any questions - also I have about 50 more pictures that I can email to you. This beauty is located in southern Illinois - shipping would be your responsibility. Here's some more info: Maybe you've already seen the web sight, but if not, check out: http://www.erskinclan.com/car.html Lots of interesting info, and you can click on a link that will take you to some car specs. As part of those specs, it shows the year/model serial # and engine number ranges. Looking at Dad's title, his number of the car is 5,016,688 (which squares up with the 1927 model 50).
