Up for bid is a 1989 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup. It will need another transmission or need this one worked on. When I bought pickup it had recently had a rebuilt Jasper transmission installed but shortly after it would only shift into first and second gear then engine would just rev way up when trying to go into third. It may well not have much wrong with transmission but I don't know much about transmissions so here it sits now. The odometer says 165,000 miles but rebuilt engine only has about 60,000 miles on it. Engine runs great. The engine is a 5.7 Liter (350) and transmission is a MD8. That maybe same as 700R4 but I am not sure. The great thing about this pickup is it has almost brand new tires on it. They are Kumho Road Venture. The fronts are 235 / 75 / R15 and rears are 33 x 12.50 / R15 LT. They have about 10/32 tread on them and like I said are in great condition. They were installed shortly before pickup transmission went out. Tires were right at $600. They exterior of pickup is still in good shape for year model. Has a little damage on drivers rear but can be patched with bondo. Bumper is slightly bent in same place. Doesn't really look bad though. Has reciever hitch on back. Bed has been spraylined and still looks good. Interior of pickup still looks good too for age. Bench seat and dash still look good. Power windows and locks still work. You will need to either replace steering column or replace upper bearing on steering shaft in steering column. Bearing was worn and came apart while pulling steering wheel to replace ignition switch so it does have new ignition switch. Steering wheel can be stuck on splines to load pickup though. Other than trans and steering column this pickup is ready to go. Pickup does have A/C but needs freon put in cause it has slow leak. Has JVC stereo in it that works good. Had new exhaust system put on that comes out in front of passenger rear tire. Would make great pickup for teenage son with a little work or for anybody. You will have to haul on trailer than is close to 8' wide because of rear tires stick out so far. I do have the other 33 x 12.50 wheels that also are included.
