Vehicle Detail

1955 Studebaker E 12 pickup. This rare truck is 3/4 ton(simply bolt another set of rims to the rear and it becomes a 1 ton dually)259 V8,3 speed on column manual transmission w/overdrive.The restoration is complete with the exception of some interior work, rebuilt motor, new brakes, new tires, period rims, and new exhaust from manifold back.Runs and drives.Paint is good and body is solid metal. All the glass is unbroken, windows and doors work as they should. This truck is all original with the exception of the rear tail lights and a 12volt conversion.Due to the 12 volt conversion, the gas gauge doesn't work and I won't cut up the dash to put newer gauges in.The headliner is a piece of cardboard from a kit that was a waste of money, needs a professional to do it right. The carb needs to be rebuilt,I wanted to upgrade to an eldebrock, but still don't know if it's possible. The last thing I can think of is a small oil leak from back of pan. I hate to see this truck go,it turns heads everywhere and I will guarantee you will be the only one at the show with one.Alas,I recently inherited another hotrod and don't have the room or the time for all of them, somethings gotta give.Although being a rare truck, parts are available from many online sights and truck comes with a $45 parts manual and a few other misc.parts.I know I forgot something so please ask any questions before you bid.I will answer asap to the best of my knowledge. You are more than welcome and encouraged to come and inspect for yourself,I am located just outside Buffalo,NY.Remember this is a 55 year old vehicle, everything is not showroom perfect but this is a solid drivable truck.I've tried to tell the good and the bad so again please ask any questions before you bid. In New York cars before 1972 do not have a title.I have a transferable registration.I sign the back like a title and the truck is yours along with a bill of sale for whatever amount you want it to say(just for sales tax reasons)Truck being sold as is where it is.Shipping is entirely up to the buyer but it is registered and on the road so I can drive it somewhere locally.I might deliver to a nearby destination(couple of states away)for a price, but those arrangements must be made before the end of sale.I have a lot more money into this truck than the no reserve starting bid so I can not and will not go any lower. Please don't ask.I'll pay for storage before I give it away....HAPPY BIDDING
