This 1948 F6 was kept in Grandpa's barn dry since 1980 when he stopped using it he did not remember why They need the room in the barn for other stuff so out it went I put a tarp over the bed and the cab has under 54000 original miles cab is in great shape paint still good inside and out normal dents from being used in the field and and hauling grain It has a 1951 mercury flat head do not know why So far I have changed the oil, rinsed out the gas tank, cleared the line and fuel pump put a 12 volt coil and condencer in it new plugs and wires unhooked the wire harnesso not to burn the 6volt system, put gas in the tank used a 12volt bat and it started rightup after 30 years The truck runs fine the trans works in both gear boxes twin piston bed dumps in full up and down positions IT IN UP BECAUSE OF ALL THE RAIN WE HAVE GOTTEN the bed is solid and tight and it holds water. As far as I can tell the gauges work need some new wires many are rotted or broken The brakes I am working on now I have replaced one line to front passanger side front brakes bleed bu t back do not yet The truck runs drives shifts dumps steers but dose not stop yet I am selling because I have a 37 ford in progress and do not have time to do more with the truck and I do not want it to turn to rust out side I have a clear Missouri title and operators manual any ? call 314-223-8088 ANY BAD FEED BACK OR NEW EBAYERS MUST CALL FIRST BEFORE BIDDING 500.00 payment at end of auction form winning bidder must be made within 24 hours of end of auction can hold truck up to 30 days with payment aggrement
