Vehicle Detail

This CLASSIC 1963 220 SE Cabriolet is a head turner and in beautiful "street show" shape. I have owned this car for twenty years and am very sorry to sell it but unfortunately I must due to a divorce. It has been professionally restored by a very well known restoration expert who’s quality of workmanship is recognized by Gooding & Co. who organize the Pebble Beach Auction. The car has been restored mechanically to the point of being capable of being driven everyday if you prefer. I have spent approximately $44,750.00 in restoration and repairs and have all records of mechanical, exterior and interior restoration over the past 20 years I have owned this car. There are no leaks with the exception of a very minor transmission leak at the rate of a few drops per month. I can't remember the last time I had to add transmission fluid but it is less than once per year. This has always been a California Car with no rust ever. This is the original color combination (Color codes on engine block indicate it was originally painted black). The exterior paint is in excellent shape and I have pictures of the exterior restoration showing the car down to metal. The car has rare split bucket seats in the back where there is normally a bench. I have installed a top flight stereo system with the head unit installed in the glove box to preserve the originality of the dash. The quality of sound will thrill the most discriminating audiophiles and plays Itouch or SmartPhones via Bluetooth audio streaming. I will include an Itouch loaded with Jazz and Oldies. In terms of exterior blemishes there aren't many. There two small scratches on the right rear quarter panel that have been professionally touched up and wet sanded and really are barely noticeable. There are a few small dents on the front bumper. There are no dings or dents on any of the exterior painted surfaces. The headliner is in very good shape. The carpeting is new. The dash and wood are in excellent shape. The top is in great shape as well. Here is an outline of the most major restoration and repairs to date: 1.) Dash and wood restored : 6/90 2.) Engine rebuilt at 118,350 miles: 4/92 3.) Exterior paint (down to metal restoration), new top, head-liner and entire roof assembly painted : 11/92 4.) Replaced power brake booster 119,070 miles: 6/92 5.) Interior leather 2/2000 6.) Replaced “U” joints, Drive Shaft Center Support Trailing arm bushings 142,724 miles: 4/03 7.) Replaced fuel pump 137,340 miles: 6/2000 8.) Power steering pump and hoses; power steering box; tie rods replaced; steering Shock and drag link; rear springs and rebuild trailing arms; replaced front brake pads (148,059 miles): 2/05 9.) Water pump, thermostat and all hoses 152,219 miles : 8/2006 10.) New carpet: 3/2010 11.) Brakes and Power Booster (154427 miles) : 6/2010 12.) New custom exotic car stereo with bluetooth audio streaming that will play with Iphone, Itouch or Droid. (May 2010) I have all records of repair and restoration . Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and let me know if there any additional photos you want to see. I have detailed photos of the undercarriage and trunk.
