1981 CJ-7, unrestored and very well maintained. I bought this Jeep maybe 5 years ago from the original owner who kept this vehicle extremely nice and always maintained with the hopes of having a little body work done and fresh paint- I just moved and had a baby, we need the space and extra money right now!. This Jeep has a rare build sheet from the color combination, chrome accesories, to a factory sunroof. The vehicle has never been wrecked and maintains the original steel body, which is in very good condition considering the age. There is one small hole in the floor and body, maybe 3" square, as shown below the drivers door. The rest of the vehicle really only shows surface rust and the body, floor, and frame are very solid- which is the reason I bought this Jeep after searching for months. We have used this Jeep as a novelty on weekends and camping trips and have never had one single problem in 5 years. The mechanics are excellent, although I would install a new radiator before driving across country though. The Jeep drives extremely well for a CJ, it can maintain a smooth drive at 70 mph. This induvisual Jeep would be an inexpensive restoration in that the mechanics and interior are excellent. I think if the exterior was restored that this Jeep would bring some high dollars from collectors or Jeep fanatics. I have all the original documentation from the dealership, including bill of sale and window sticker. We also have a complete maintenance file dating back to original purchase. I really hate to part with this CJ and will one day wish I had it back; but if we can get a fair price for it right now, I should sell. FYI: This vehicle has the stright 6 cyl, I'm not sure why the ebay system will not allow me to change the engine size.
