Car is a one owner all original 1971 Mercury Comet. First year model based on the Maverick style. Limited make.Has a 200 strait six, automatic transmission, and is 2 tone blue and white. Original owner is 95 years old and title is signed and released. Title has not been transferred and is original. Car drives but has 28 year old tires on it and needs 1 barrel carburetor rebuilt. The car is a local car and was used by owner as transportation in the 1970's for his job as a traveling salesman and most all miles were placed on the car before he retired in 1979. The widow sold the car to me and now its up for auction.These cars in unmolested original condition are rare. Interior is a 95% and better new quality with no discoloration or cracking of dashboard, deck, door panels or moldings. The exterior is 99% rust free with a small ding on the passenger side quarter panel. Has all its parts and has never been touched. Garaged all its life in arid rust free Idaho. With no belly rust either from road issues. Paint is faded but not from sun or chemicals.The car has a oil leak on the valve cover which coated the water pump with oil, and has a pan leak on the transmission where fluid can be seen at its flange but doesn't drip yet.Car sat for 1 year only being started 3 times, fuel is clean, oil is clean and has no metal in it from a mechanics test.
