High bidder will own this beauty! 1951 Chevrolet “Styleline Business Coupe” Chevrolet and most automobile manufacturers of the 1940s and 1950s all produced what was called a “Business Coupe”. These stripped down models without a back seat were the low cost cars in the Chevy line up for 1951. They were used for years by traveling salesmen to carry sample cases of merchandise. Chevrolet sold only 17,020 business coupes in the production year, 1951 making this car very rare indeed! At a cost of $1460.00 they were the cheapest Chevy car. The 1951 Chevrolet Station Wagon was the most expensive at $2191.00. This vehicle has a 35O chevy, new holley carburetor, complete rebuilt 4 speed on the floor, with new clutch… This car is a driver and the owner currently drives it daily to work. The car has undergone many changes from it’s modest beginnings…from the addition of a back seat to it’s upgraded350 CI Chevrolet engine and modern drivetrain and the 4-speed transmission is a huge upgrade to the original “3 on the tree”)…making it the ultimate “Business Coupe” for the 2000’s.
