We enjoyed driving this car for several years and planned to restore it totally when retired. We got very busy in retirement and do not want to see it sitting and not being driven! It should be driven and loved by someone who will enjoy it as we did. We have been advised by an expert to leave the car as is rather that tinker with it. It is an excellent restoration project as it has been inside and on blocks for the last ten years. This classic XKE has no rust, no bondo repairs and no dings! The color is original Champagne and was repainted in the 1970's professionally. The chassis has 81,000 miles and the factory-new-in-1976 motor has only 23,000 miles on it. It has a rebuilt master clutch cylinder to be installed and the rubber gasket kit for the rear window glass is ready to go. The original chrome trim and chrome spoke wheels are in excellent condition as is the telescoping wood-grained steering wheel. This car is a beauty and deserves to be on the road again! This car was originally registered and driven in Germany. I bought it from a friend and shipped it back to North America. It is now stored in a garage in Maine.
