I am selling this car for a neighbor. Up for auction is a 1958 Fairlane 500, 2 door hard top. This car needs to be restored. Almost all of the body work has been done. New rocker panels, new front fender patch panels, new rear quarter patch panels. Floors and trunk are solid. All of this work was done about 12 years ago. The car has been in storage ever since. All of the trim and emblems are there in good shape. The bumpers will need to be rechromed. The engine was completely rebuilt at about the same time. It was started every month or so but has not been started in 10 years. The engine is the 352 police interceptor. The transmission and rear end were in good working condition at the time the other work was done. The interior is original and all there but needs to be restored. The current owner has owned this car since 1969, it has a clear title. The current owner lost interest in this car about 10 years ago and now needs it out of the way. So here is your chance to pick up the ball and finish this car. A lot of the hard work is done. This car will need to be trailered home as it is not road worthy at this time. The car will need to be picked up within 7 days of aution end. Payment will need to be in full at the time of pick-up. Car is being sold as is. I will except cash or a cashiers check only.
