Vehicle Detail

1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible - AC - Texas Car - WOW! Here is an extremely sharp, 1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible that is a life long and rust free, central Texas car! It is, I believe, a 3 owner car that has been well cared for and maintained it's entire life and helps make it the beautiful, classic Lincoln you see in my photos! This is the car to have if you want to feel like an instant celebrity! It's the ultimate cruiser and it gets more attention and appreciation than any other exotic or new luxury car could ever get! The Lincoln Continental became one of the most influential body designs of the 1960's and this is one of the most desirable years for the ever so popular, suicide door Lincoln! Only 3,356 Continental Convertibles were built in 1965, making this a great investment opportunity! It is loaded with the following equipment: -430 CID 320 HP 4 BBL V8 Engine - Automatic Transmission -Power Steering -Power Brakes -Front Disc Brakes -Factory Air Conditioning (Ice Cold) - Power Seat -Power Vent Windows -AM Radio -Power Antenna -Power Top -Remote Outside Rearview Mirror -Tinted Glass -Heater -P235/75R15 WW Radial Tires -Etc.... The VIN is : 5Y86N402810 Trim Tag info: Warranty Number 5Y86N402810 Body 74A Color C Trim 88 Date 08J DSO 23 Trans 1 The Odometer Reading is: 64,569 (unknown miles) The body on this classic Lincoln is absolutely beautiful and is as rock solid and rust free as you would expect a Texas car to be! The body is super straight and all the panel alignments and gaps are factory original. The sheet metal appears to be all original to this car and there are no panel replacements and no patches or attempts to hide or cover anything up. The underside is untouched original with no patches or other repairs, so what you see is what you've got and that is a totally rust free and unmolested body! There is no evidence of any prior accident history. It is finished in it's very sharp and appealing, Powder Blue paint job! I would call the paint a very sharp, driver quality finish that has a few small spots in the paint here and there but still has a nice luster and shine and looks great cruising down the street as my photos show! The exterior chrome trim is original and very respectable with some minor pitting on a few of the parts. The grill is in excellent condition with no breaks or damage and the original hubcaps are very nice! The convertible top is older and in very respectable condition! The power top system has recently been gone thru and thoroughly checked out by an expert Lincoln technician and it works great! The windshield and all the windows are in excellent condition. The power windows all work great! The interior is exceptionally sharp as well. The seat upholstery, carpets and door panels are very sharp and have probably been replaced at some point because they are too nice! The dash pad is nice with one small crack . The gauges are clean and bright and other than the clock, all appear to work as they should. The wipers, radio, horn, power windows and power vent windows all work well and the power locks do not work. The power seat motor runs and works the seat in some of the positions but is sluggish and needs some attention. The Factory Air Conditioning is complete and blows Cold! The power antenna even works! The trunk liner has been replaced and looks great! Included is the spare tire, cover and original jack and lug wrench. Mechanically, this classic Lincoln appears to be in exceptional condition. The engine runs smooth and strong and it doesn't overheat in our 100+ degree weather here in the desert! The transmission shifts as it should and the brake system feels strong. The exhaust is solid and quiet and the suspension appears to be in great shape! The radial tires are new and the car drives like a dream! It literally floats down the road like you're on a cloud! I think that you could drive this car anywhere without worry! The 'Suicide Door' Lincoln Continental Convertible became one of the most influential automotive designs of the 1960's and this is a prime example of an exceptional and highly desirable 60's Collector Car! It's a beautiful, rock solid body with very appealing paint and color! It has desirable options! It's ready for showing off or summertime cruising! It is a pleasure to drive and it stops traffic where ever I drive it! Please email or call with any questions and I can help with shipping quotes and arrangements. I also welcome International bidders! Bob Adams (480) 314-0669 or (480) 628-4778 Good luck in the bidding!
