Please read description carefully. I will not answer questions that are already in the description. For additional photos and video, cut and paste this link: http://www.winkbug.com/Cars/Mark/12167420_xzGcP - 865783799_Y6St6 I am listing this again one more time. I have dropped my reserve price to the absolute minimum. I am getting ready to sell my other truck and drive this if I can’t get the minimum. Bid to win if you want it for I now have this vehicle for sale locally and will end the auction at any time if it sells. Thanks! Up for auction is an exceptionally clean 1967 Ford F-250 4x4. This is not a factory original truck although I built it to maintain a factory fresh look. This body is a 1967 Camper Special with a Custom Cab. There was no F-250 4x4 Camper Special available in this era. There also was no F-250 4x4 available with an automatic transmission (as far as I am aware) either. I know the original brochures didn’t offer it. Needless to say, finding one like this would be extremely rare and most certainly custom built. I used a 2-wheel drive body because most of the 4x4 trucks of this era are so rusty from mud packed in the body they are usually in very poor condition. The chassis is from a 1972 f-250, which has a heavier duty Spicer front axle and four wheel drum brakes. It has been converted to an automatic and is powered by a Ford 390. The largest motor available in 1967 was a 352ci. The truck does not (significantly) leak any fluids and as you can see is in great shape. There are no fluids on the ground after being parked. Motor starts easily, idles smooth, and does not smoke. Exhaust is relatively new and has Magnaflow muffler that has a deep throaty tone but isn’t loud and obnoxious. The 390 runs great and has a Mallory Unilite electronic ignition system and Edelbrock carburetor. The transmission is a Ford C6 with a factory column shift. If you prefer the “stock” look I have four silver steel wheels (non split rim) and tires that are in very nice shape that I will substitute for the ones pictured, or sell in addition to for $300 extra. The tires are practically new on these wheels but are smaller of course. Interior is classic and quiet. Windshield, carpet, instrument bezel, armrests, door seals and window seals are all new interior items. Seat cover has a tear in it as pictured. I didn’t replace this because I had planned on using a newer seat. The padding in the seat feels too thin for the seat. Exterior is very clean. Body has a few dings and scratches but is nice overall as you can see from the photos. Chrome and trim is in good shape, but again not perfect. Chrome pitting, anodizing fade and scratches are present on everything, but again for a 43 year old vehicle they are in very good shape. Truck does not have an auxiliary fuel tank. There was never one on any of the trucks I had so I just decided to leave the filler neck because I liked the factory look. Auxiliary tank could easily be added if desired. The fuel gauge switch and valve are still there but the valve has been bypassed (Again factory items I left on to retain the factory look). This truck originally came without a rear bumper also. The original license plate bracket and light is still there and works (see photographs with “Ford” plate). It is not perfect, nor is it a show winner, but it is a very clean, nice example that would make a nice driver. I have not licensed the truck. I built the truck for my wife, which decided she does not like it (probably for the lack of power steering). I decided I would sell it because I already have too many vehicles and cannot store another one and I think she prefers my 76, which I have had forever. This truck is in fine operating condition but as I said, I have not licensed it so I have driven it very little so I would not recommend driving this vehicle a long distance on its maiden voyage. Everything on the vehicle I believe works, unless I have forgotten something. Anything that might not work would be minor. Also, I do not know the actual mileage, I would assume it is at least 120K miles. Engine, transmission and transfer case have recently been serviced. Brakes are probably over 50%. It has power brakes and manual steering. There is still rust in the center cab cross member and inside panel of the cab corners. These have been sealed with POR 15 and undercoated. I didn’t have these areas repaired because they are not readily apparent and it was not going to be driven in poor weather, so I wasn’t concerned. Most all the body was sprayed off the truck separately with original color Wimbledon White urethane paint. If you are interested in bidding on this truck would like to know more about it via phone conversation, please email me your phone number and best time to call you and I will contact you. I am trying to talk to only serious parties. I would expect this truck to bring between $7000 and $9000 in optimum conditions but my reserve amount is well under this and don’t expect this economy to bring optimum conditions. The truck is sold as is where is and does not carry any warranty. I will assist the buyer at my end with shipping and can trailer it certain distances myself at extra cost. Buyer responsible to send electronic deposit of $500 through PayPal within 48 hours of auction end. The balance is due within 14 days of auction end and vehicle must be picked up within 30 days of auction close. Buyer responsible for shipping cost. Balance is preferred in cash on pickup but may be submitted by certified check, personal check, or cashiers check. Keep in mind however; I will not release this vehicle until my bank has funds guaranteed in my account. So checks of any kind may take 2-7 business days to process completely. I have had a buyer beat the mail and cashiers check to pick the vehicle up before and been stung on a deal by forged checks. Pardon my insistence on the terms but I will not let these things happen again. Cash makes everything go faster. I appreciate your patience! Thank you for looking and good luck to you.
