Up for auction is a 1965 Plymouth Valiant 200 4-door Sedan. Car has original 225 CID 6-cylinder with 76,531 actual miles, automatic transmission, 4-wheel drum brakes, and manual steering. No AC. I am the third owner, and the previous two owners were from the same family. Title is clear, car is presently tag, and I drive it at least once a month. It starts, runs, and drives fine; although hesitates a little when cold. All factory accessories function properly; wipers, horn, lights, temperature gauge, battery gauge, and fuel gauge. Aftermarket radio works now-and-then. Car has all original glass, seats, and carpet, but needs restoration. There is a rattle in right front going over bumps which I think is a bad shock, but not sure. Car has some rust at the bottom of both front doors, both front fenders, and both quarter panels, and the right side is worse than the left. There is a small hole in the right front floorboard, but I do not see any holes in left side floorboard. Considering its age, the car is not in that bad a shape, and can be restored if desired. The left front fender was replaced before I bought the car three-and-a-half years ago, and car had been repainted the original color. I do not know how old repaint is. There are also several paint chips and small rust spots on various parts of body. All doors and windows function properly; as well as trunk and hood... I am selling the car because I bought a new truck and don't drive it as much as I used to. I have never taken the Plymouth on a long road trip, only driven around town. It might make a long trip, but I would not suggest it. Better if towed. Car is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, Zip Code 24502.
