Owner bought this GTO about 10 years ago from a collector who had 4 and was in the middle of a divorce. he tried to buy all 4 but the wife had title to this one only so he got this one. Trim tag which needs to rivetted back to the cowl , numbers are ST70-24267 PONO84774BDY 50-5 PNT 12B. Once acquired the car got new doors and quarters and was repainted blue. It has been driven on occasion but restoration was never completed. The owner is now over 60 and has a 66 Chevelle convertible as well which he prefers. The Chevelle is not for sale. Being a Chevy guy, I don't know much about Pontiacs so I will post lots of pictures and put the link on the listing sometime tomorrow I checked the car and here is what I found. The body is nice and looks straight and solid. There is some bubbling starting here and there as you will see on the pics but remember this was painted about 10 years ago. The engine runs good but has a leaky manifold but not too bad. The engine is definitely a Pontiac as it has the web like intake manifold. It appears to be a 400 as it is much larger than a Chevy 350. The floors are good, trunk is good and the frame is solid. The tires are new, it has dual exhaust which go straight out the back. The trunk lock is missing. Power windows work, power roof works fine too. The roof needs replacing but the frame is good and the back window is not the soft type. The car needs a new interior as the vinyl is worn is quite a few areas. The door panels are there but show age. There is new door weatherstrip in the trunk for both doors. The rest of the weatherstripping needs replacing. The nose piece is peeling but apparently all these plastic or rubber front end pieces on the Pontiac did this?? Chrome is good. The top of the windshield where the roof sits is surface rusted. Car does have positraction. It has the PMD rally wheels. The car is plated and can be driven as it does run good. Transmission shifts as it should. As I stated, I am not a Pontiac guy and will answer any questions I can.
