This auction is for a 1965 Pontiac GTO 2 door hardtop. Original color was Cameo Ivory (Ermine White) with blue bucket seat interior. Options include 4 speed with console, bucket seats, driver's side remote mirror, Rally gauge package with tachometer, rear window defogger, push button AM radio, seat belts, rear seat speaker, The original Hurst shifter still in car. 4 speed transmission and original rear are still in the car. I'm not sure if it's positive traction or not. 389 engine was removed back in the 70's and replaced with a 283 Chevy 2 barrel motor and at that time the bellhousing was changed as well. Car has been off the road since 1981. It was stored in a barn for awhile then outside for awhile. All emblems and mouldings are on the car. Car is all original as far as the interior and body. The GTO also has power steering. This car will need complete restoration. Floor pans front and rear need replaced as well as the trunk weatherstripping gutter. Trunk lid needs replaced as well. Door bottoms on the inside need attention as well. I'm trying to describe the car as best as I can. This is the real deal. The car was a 389 3-2 car. A guy from the area remembers the original owner and said the motor was pooped and parted out in the 70's. I had the original 3-2 intake and carbs 7 years ago and sold it thinking I would never be able to purchase the car they belonged to. This would be one beautiful car done.
