Click here for 147 pictures inside/outside History of my ownership Purchased from a private party in Virginia Beach, VA 12/08 with a bit more than 67k miles. This is my 4th 928, and 3rd '89 928 S4 and I thought I had to have it. Go figure that I never really drove it after getting it home. I took a trip to get my haircut, once around the area, to get washed, and to change the oil. About 100 miles total after getting it back up here. I have the records check from my purchase. Drove it to Hoboken, NJ and put about 400 miles on it in that trip. Current mileage 68,237. I've put about 500 miles on this car in a bit more than 12 months. Registered it in Virginia. Completely clear/clean title The title is in hand and shows 66k and change on it, not the 67k I bought the car with. That is because I was standing at the DMV and had to fill in the blank with something and just guessed. Either way, we're talking about very low current miles, I just didn't want it to be confusing based on what I wrote above explaining the mileage during my history of ownership. Started regularly, driven around the block a couple times and battery is on a tender to maintain it. I have a new Porsche Cayenne Twin Turbo on the way home, a 745i, and a motorcycle. This one must go! Not only that, but I walk to work and it's just not getting used. I can't keep 3 cars. Please take this one to a new home! The car has been parked inside since I purchased it. The car has been given a light detail before being parked most of the last several months. It's in great cosmetic shape. Tires have thousands of miles left in them as they were installed new right before I bought the car. Full Blaupunkt CD / AM / FM head unit. Sounds great, and looks sharp! Lightly tinted windows that look very sharp on this metallic gray beauty! The AC is just barely cool in the front and very cold in the rear, the windows work, the locks work, etc. etc. etc. Only notable flaws outside are a VERY small mark under the passenger rear window where a sub dime-sized rust spot formed. Another on the driver side. Very hard to photograph. Pics are there, look at them. The trunk and hood shocks work well. Beautiful custom fit BERBER car mats in all four spots! The interior is in good shape. The dash and pod are not cracked. This is a VERY big deal. Beautiful Desgin 90 Wheels! (these are NOT standard, and are very desirable to many buyers) They are in good shape, not absolutely perfect, but look very, very respectable and not rashed up. They are staggered at 225 front and 245 rear. Light haziness on the hood and could use a buffing. Was there when I got it so not sure what caused it. Looks like it might have been dirty for a while and just needs a good polishing. Full collapsible spare tire for your safety when traveling. 8 Way power seats (think the drivers has heat? Not sure what the switch is and never had that in my others) No chips/cracks in glass, headlights, fogs, sidemarkers, or rear lights. Recent TIMING BELT and tensioner replacement. This is HUGE. Don't worry about this one. Also, power steering hoses and fluid change, thermostat, A/C inspection, state safety and equipment inspection, coolant drain and refill, steering boots. This is the year to buy in the S4. Had a different rear end ratio and slightly different intake design than the '87 / '88 models. Quick. Very quick. The 89 928 S4 also sounds MUCH MUCH better (louder and more throaty) with a Rear Muffler Bypass installed than the '87 / '88 models. Rich, full featured, cd player Rear ac for extra comfort. Tinted windows are key for privacy and comfort. There is a lot of glass in this car and it can heat up quickly. Good quality. Click here for 147 pictures inside/outside What's it worth??? This one is a GREAT looking, low mileage car, with great colors, and options, in good shape and should command in the low teens That said, I know it might not go that high. It's only worth what you're willing to pay. I have no reserve on this car, but I am ACTIVELY marketing it and might end this auction early to accept a sale OR a potential sale from a serious buyer. I have never had that happen before in selling 4 cars on Ebay, including another 928 last year, and wasn't able to work around it when I was setting up the listing.
