Vehicle Detail
1929 Pontiac Rumble Seat Roadster Here we have an ultra rare 1929 Pontiac Rumble Seat Roadster painted Maroon with Black fenders and running boards. It has a Gray interior with a wood steering wheel, Black top and a rumble seat in the back. Powering this early Pontiac is an L-head, in-line six cylinder engine which put out 60hp and is mated to a three speed manual transmission. This roadster has a wood and chrome luggage rack, dual tail-lamps, side mount spare, cowl lamps, window wings, front and rear bumpers and wire wheels. This is an older restoration and is a very complete car. The paint is starting to show it's age however it can be driven this way providing many years of enjoyment. It would be an excellent candidate for a fresh restoration or awesome street rod project. When new this roadster cost $775 and weighed about 2,342 pounds. Pontiac-Oakland came out with a new line of cars in 1926 and in 1929 they came with a new more powerful six cylinder engine. As the Great Depression was in full swing, the more expensive Oakland line was dropped around 1932 and it became the Pontiac Motor Company.
