1998 VW Jetta TDI Diesel 4 door, 5 speed manual Black with grey interior 248,600 miles VIN #3VWRF81H8WM211703 Cruise, cold A/C, front air bags, AM/FM, 6CD player in trunk, sun roof, wireless locking and alarm system. The following maintenance has been done. 246,543 mi. new ignition switch 246,422 new air filter 243543 front end align 243284 new front tires 239238 new valve cover gasket 230030 new fuel filter, left front wheel bearing, timing belt, belt tension idler, small idler pulley, serpentine belt and tension idler pulley, power steering V belt. 217,346 new brake master cylinder It gets around 45 mpg, give or take, depending on temperature, wind condition and number of hills. It is in good driving condition but the check engine service light is on. The paint is fair to poor and it does have some body rot behind the front wheels in the rocker panels, in the rear seat foot wells and some other areas underneath. The engine does not burn oil but it does leak about 1 qt. every 5,000 miles around the oil pan gasket as best I can tell. The interior is average with a few small cigarette burns left by the previous owners (we don’t smoke). The left head light has moisture in it. Door chime does not stop with key out until door is closed. Additionally, the car comes with the $70 factory service manual, 5 oil filters, touch up paint and a spare water pump. With a little attention this car could easily go another couple hundred thousand miles. The car is sold in “as is condition” with no guarantees expressed or implied!
