1983 Honda CB

This is a 1983 Honda CB 1100 F.It has been repainted and looks great.The mileage on the odometer is not the true mileage. It has a lot more than shown. The motor is worn out, though it was running when I took it to the bike shop to have it examined. Pulling the top end off revealed worn out rings , evidence of water in the cylinders at some time in the past, badly worn cylinders, cam chains, pistons etc. This bike should be considered as a candidate for a major rebuild, or as a parts bike if you are rebuilding a 1983 CB 1100 F. All the parts are there-has not been scavenged. This item has no reserve or no minimum bid. Bike is at repair shop about 20 miles from my home, so I can't readily answer questions about various items--but if you'd like to talk about it , give me a call at 803 684 0800. The pictures show the various parts removed from the bike for display. I had envisioned "parting it out" but came to the conclusion that it was too much trouble.So the seat, the side panels, the exhaust pipes and the motor have been removed from the frame, and you should plan for it to be in that condition when you pick it up. If you want it reassembled and shipped, there will be a charge for the reassembly, probably 2 hours or so at the shop's hourly rate of $60 per hour. This transaction will be between you and the bike shop
