This is an UNRESERVED AUCTION with a super low starting price so this beauty will sell. I have this truck for sale locally and listed for $4900 on Kijiji in Red Deer and have received great response, but I need to speed up the process a bit. I might be taking a risk by listing this truck on Ebay, I'm hoping that people will see the true value of this truck and bid accordingly. Up for auction is this beautiful 1979 F250 2x4 Extended cab Lariat truck. I found this truck locally and bought it from the original owners. My understanding is that they used this truck as their farm truck for most of it's life and then in 2002 for their retirement decided to restore this beauty to tow their 24 foot fifth wheel holiday trailer. The restoration process began with 154800km showing on the odometer it's only seen about 3000km since. Mechanical: This truck runs and drives awesome and is quite a comfortable ride. A lot of work was put into her including new shocks and brakes, she is very mechanically sound. This truck drives smoothly and straight and true. Engine: The truck has a 460 with a 4 barrel Holley carb on it that was installed in 2002 I was told that the engine had 78000 on it when pulled from a 76 T-bird. It has a recent tune up and new carb kit installed and runs strong, all the hoses and belts are in great shape. The Engine has a slight misfire when cold that improves when it warms up. I'm not sure of the exact cause, it could be timing or tune related. The engine pulls well and starts easily and does not smoke or seem to burn oil. Transmission: In 2002 the original C6 automatic transmission was rebuilt in the truck. The transmission shifts strong and has no issues. Tires: A new Set of Eagle Alloys aluminum wheels are on the truck and the tires have about 60% tread left on them. Body: The body on the truck is rust free and very straight. It does have a rock chip or two and a few light scuffs from regular use but, the paint is nice and shiny. New box sides were installed and then the truck was repainted, the Brown on Brown color is very sharp looking. The truck also features a fifth wheel tailgate painted to match. The original tailgate and trim is included in unrestored condition. Glass: The windshield has a couple rock chips and cracks but, the rest of the glass is in excellent condition. The weather stripping and window felts are original and in good shape. Interior: The front seat has been reupholstered and the rest of the interior is very clean. The dash is unmolested and still has the original AM radio in it. All the guages, lights and switches work great. Options: There wasn't a lot of options available in 1979 on these trucks but, this one has A/C and Cruise Control which both work great. Registration: This vehicle is registered in Alberta. Inspection: This truck have been inspected and a valid Alberta safety inspection is included for your insurance company. This Truck is listed for sale locally.
