Vehicle Detail
This is '73 Capri with the #'s matching 2600 engine. The car was parked in early '82 and has not been started since. It will probably run but I do not guarantee it, as I have not had time to mess with it. I did turn the engine by hand, and it is not stuck. It is 100% complete and original with a clear Texas title. The keys have been lost over the years though. It has the manual 4speed transmission with external shift linkage. Everything was in good working order when it was parked but it has been sitting for nearly 30 years. The rear quarters have rust in them and the trunk is pretty rusty too. There is a couple of rust holes on the top of the right rocker panel in the door jamb, but the floor pans, external rockers, and front fenders are solid. It still has all of the a/c components, and has a date tag on the compressor that says 9/72. It has "MS" in the v.i.n. that means it was built in Nov. '72, and the "UX" is for the 8.2:1 2600 engine, "R" for the 3.22 axle ratio, and "B" for the external linkage four speed. It has 140 mph speedometer, and a 7,000 rpm tach, and a cool VDO clock in a pod that says made in Germany. I am starting the auction at 400.00 which I feel is a very fair starting price, (tranny is worth that). I will NOT part out this complete car so please do not ask. This car is sold as is, where is, and has no warranty, and will need total restoration or be used for parts. The car can sit here for one month after the end of the auction, but will need to be moved a.s.a.p. Pick-up and delivery will be the buyers responsibility. I will assist in loading the car. It is located in Waco Texas. Any questions just ask. Deposit through pay-pal, 400.00 within 24hrs. of end of auction, and the rest (if any) due through money order or cashiers check within 3 days of end of auction. Thank you for looking and happy bidding.
