Vehicle Detail
1981 Porsche 911 SC Targa Beautiful Porsche 911 SC Targa in burgundy with tan interior. Runs great, tires like new. Maintenance records for the last 10 years, garage kept, and pleasure ridden only on the weekends. The body was stripped down and painted, they did a good job on it and it shows. It has a small imperfection on the engine cover as shown on one of the pictures. The interior is in fair condition, the seats have some tears and were weathered so they could use some new upholstery. The dash is in pretty good shape, one small crack. The Targa Top was replaced three years ago so it has many years of life on it. Mechanically is in great condition with the only exception of an exhaust leak which makes the Porsche sound more “sporty”, therefore I decided to not worry about it, should be an easy fix if so desired by the new owner. The car got a great tune up about 2k miles ago including, replacement of the fuel warm-up regulator, all injectors and resealed, fuel accumulator, fuel filter, fuel tank, fuel distributor, flushed all fuel lines, and adjusted idle and mixture. Have all the bills from reputable local Porsche shop. It does not smoke upon starting and oil consumption is minimal. It comes equipped with AC, but I have not used it, to the best of my knowledge it needs to be charged. The transmission does not grind on any gear, and the clutch operates without any slippage. The wheels are original and look great, the tires have about 80% or life left on them. Calipers, brake pads and rear brake rotors were replaced two months ago with original Porsche (ATE) remanufactured calipers, new pads and new rear rotors. The odometer does not work and reads 56k, this car sat for long periods of time in the 90s and beginning of the 2000s, so the miles should be pretty close to 60 or 70k. This car is a pleasure to drive and with some interior care will make the new owner very happy for years to come. You can find a video of the car idling at the following location: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecPDRWGguW4 I have a clear title in hand. Please ask any questions and happy bidding!
