I have owned this Mustang for 15 years and have keep it in a heated garage as long as I have had it. Never drove it in the winter and only got caught twice in the rain. I did not drive this at all last year and only put 32 miles on it the year before. I did not get it inspected last year just because I never got it out. Would not need anything for inspection!! I read somewhere when I got his that there was only 1200 or so made in this color combo with the 2 color pony interior, emberglo and parchment. This Mustang has the most solid body that I have seen, there is no rust except some surface rust starting in the trunk around the gas tank. Fenders, panels, shock towers and all, have no bondo or body work. Frames are solid with no repairs, fully coated. Floorboards are original and very solid (see photos). Has never been wrecked or restored. Paint is correct color, but not original. The only bodywork done was on the rear splash panel beside the plate, looks like someone might have backed into something. And above the left rear tire there is some bodywork, metal is still under it, looks like this was dented somehow and filled in. Most all the chrome on this is original and in very good shape, bumpers still shine. This had a 200 in it when purchased. I drooped a 302 out of a 1972 Ford truck in it. This engine was torn down and heads redone when I bought it. Heads have been plained and block bored .40 over. New bearings, and seals. New rods, valves, Harlin Sharp roller rockers, aluminum forged flat top pistons, aluminum Edelbrock intake, 600 CFM Edelbrock carburetor and valve covers. Possi rear end with .373 gears (might be .355 gears, hard to remember). I do not remember the duration of the cam that I put in it, but is not radical. Automatic C-4 transmission that has a medium range shift kit in it, it will snap your neck pretty good. I did not put in a stall converted, wish I had. Front end has had the upper and lower control arms replaced. I did this when I changed it from a 4 bolt tire pattern to a 5 bolt. The uni-frame has a kit installed on it to make it a more solid frame, I did this to help prevent body twist from torque. This kit is the bolt on type that can be removed. Has traction bars and air shocks. Does have the original 3 quart radiator fan shroud is missing. Manual choke. Has headers and a custom dual exhaust, mufflers are not too loud, but will make some noise. No power steering and no power brakes, all drum brakes. Linkage in the tranny is a little loose, if you rev it up in park, it may just into gear. Interior is beautiful, in extremely good condition. There are no tears in the seats or carpet, very little ware. Dash is not cracked and very nice. I did replace the kick boards with ones that have 100 watt speakers in them, I do have the original. The radio is a custom AM/FM cassette, I do have the original as well. The rear window tray is after market. The color combo really sets this car off. Has a functional gauge cluster and tach. Glove box is solid, door needs a little adjustment, drags some when closing. Replaced driver side interior door panel. Exterior finish. Car has not been clear coated. I left this car out overnight a couple years back is a downpour. The rain left the top, hood and trunk spotty, could be buffed out, I just never got to it. A clear coat would also do the job. As you can see in the photos, there are a few spot where the paint has lifted. There are a few touched up spot on it as well. Rims are Keystone Classics made by Crager. Overall condition of this 1966 Mustang is excellent. Very solid body, floorboard, frame and interior. This car runs great and will really light the tires up. Number on the door plate and body do match. I bought this with 81,000 miles on it, replaced engine at around 85,000. Speedometer does not work, stopped a few years back.
